My recovery was fairly good. I had slightly sore shoulder, which is a usual side affect but my tummy was very sore and tender for about a week afterwards. The stitches were pulling alot and it made is very uncomfortable to sit (I work at a desk). I'd probably not work 2 days after surgery myself but everyone has different pain and recovery thresholds.
