In March Jed and I started a radical new way of living...exercise, eating raw foods. no more junk. Ive lost 15kg so feeling pretty good
2 weeks ago I had a cyst removed from my bowel after 5 weeks of agony.
Im feeling better and getting back into our diet ect...THEN I get a phone call from my doctor TODAY
He wants me to come in for a diabetics (sp?) test as diabetics get cysts and abcess's...WTF what else can go wrong!
I apparently had GD when I was pg with Vy and then not with Mat and they doc's think that my test results were incorrect with Vy's and I have had ***** test done in hospital and it was 5.6......pretty good seeing I was dehydrated and had a temp pf 39.8 at the time the doc there said.
So now i have to sit here and think.....what next? Is it to much to ask for just one year were nothing goes wrong health wise for my family!!!
Oh no, how stressful for you. On the plus side, your healthy eating and exercise will be a great start for stablilising your sugar levels if it is diabetes. I hope it's not though hun.
first off i want to give a massive congrads for your weight loss i wish i had the will power and im blown away by your results good going chikadee
Secondly I'm so sorry you have to go through this testing
I pray you don't have diabetes and all is well
best of luck!
I hope it is not diabetes!
Dont let anything discourage you from your path babe - you are rocking it!
Hang in there and wait and see what the doc says, dont let your head run away with itself yet
It might not be diabetes that caused your cyst. You probably just have a really good Doc who is covering all the possibilities.
When I was a nanny for a young child with diabetes, I p.rick tested myself and the reading was hug, over 15. Because I'd just been rolling out cookie dough with my fingers. (Was a recipe from Meredith McCarty's Naturally Sweet - check it out, would fit in really well with your eating plan. It's got a lot of ideas for sweet things from less refined sources)
I think im more annoyed with myself......for not paying attention to my health before hand. Both my parent have it...mum type 2 and dad type 1 (their both in their 70's) and I just brushed it away under the mat with everything else.
Im also annoyed cause ive worked so dame hard not to eat the crap I use to and to look after myself (although hard seeing ive been so sick lately) and to get the doctor to ring me on a sunday for this??? What the?
Ive talked to Jed about it and Im going to go to my doc thursday night by myself (no kids) and take it from there...what else can I do
You too have discovered raw food, powerful stuff hey? My DH and I have a green smoothie every morning, and aim to eat a high proportion of raw throughout the day.
I wish you all the best with the news you receive. I just wanted to let you know, since you have discovered raw, how powerful it can be for healing diabetes. Have you heard of Gabriel Cousens and his raw food retreat? On YouTube, you can view a doco that follows a group of people who have diabetes who went to his retreat and followed a raw diet for 30 days. The results are amazing.
I guess I am saying that even if the news is bad (and I am so hoping that it isn't ), your body can do amazing things to heal itself.
Congratulations on the amazing results that you have had so far.
Oh Maz. It's damn ****ty that it's happening to you. But hopefully you can get the all clear, or at least a plan of attack - then a happy healthy second half to the year.
We're all here for ya hun. You've been doing the right thing to your body, and the results show. So maybe you've started the health kick just in time to avoid it.
