Nope, no such problem here!! DH is never out late at night, if he were away from home for some reason I probably would stay up waiting for him. But some weekends he will stay up into the wee hours playing video games, and I just head off to bed and enjoy being able to spread out!! I know he's around so it doesn't worry me. The thing that bothers me (lol) is when I go to bed at 11 and he sneaks in at 4am (if he hasn't fallen asleep on the couch) and starts giving me the ol' rub on the backside!! I'm ASLEEP!! Not tonight, sweetie, you left it too long!

I know he doesn't like going to bed without me, though. Some nights, when I haven't been able to accomplish much housework during the day, I will stay up late to do things like mop the floors or clean the kitchen etc, and DH chucks a big whinge about how he doesn't like sleeping alone. I always figured it was because it meant he missed out on getting some, so I would go to bed with him for a little while and then sneak off to do housework after he fell asleep, but he always wakes up and has a little whinge about how he wants me next to him.

I used to be the same, until I started co-sleeping with ds. Now I can sleep without df in the bed but can't sleep without ds in the bed. This is a problem because I'm trying to get him to sleep in his own bed.

Kim perhaps you need to try some relaxation or meditation of something before going to bed?

my dp leaves at 5 am for work, usually by this time dd is in our bed, and im dying for him to get up so i can push her over to his side, and stretch out! BUT i can never ever get back to sleep as soon as i hear him drive off!! it drives me nuts! i set my alarm for 8am, but sometimes its 7.30am and im still awake! argh!

i can doze, but can't get into a deep sleep if DH home and not in the bed with me - i'll wake up heaps looking for him, and eventually go and sook to him to come to bed. most of the time he's just watching TV and given we have a TV in the bedroom, i tell him to come watch with me (and promptly fall into a deep sleep!)

with him working away, i can't sleep much at all. i never sleep the first night he's away, and if i know he's coming home overnight or next day, i struggle to sleep too. if he's away several days, i'll sleep ok sometimes, reallllllllllly bad the rest of the time. the only time i sleep well while he's away is if i know he's asleep at the same time - i hang out for the nights when he has his long break over night so that i can sleep.

tonight will be another shocker - he's headed north again, and i will likely wake up at least half a dozen times, ring him a couple of times just to hear his voice....

hmmmm prolly should head to bed soon i think - all this sleep talk is making me tired!
