Yes. Canesten's fine for DH (or any generic anti-fungal cream like clotrimazole, which is the active ingredient in canesten). Twice a day for at least 4 weeks (with men fungal spores can stay underneath the skin surface for longer). If he prefers use canesten for a week then use the lamisil once cream (you need to only apply this once. It will remain in his skin for 4 weeks). However, canesten is preferable.

I have been suffering from thrush now for close to a month. It is getting worse and worse to the point where it hurts when i pee and when DTD is too long. Even when i go to scratch it, it hurts.

The swabs came back normal. The dr. gave me Dialcin cream which is an antibiotic for down there. It doesn't seem to be helping.

I am at my wits end. I am sooo over it.

oh its awful. I had issues with yeast infections and went to a medical practitioner who dealt with natural medicine as well and he gave me some herbs to take and it seriously flushed out the yeast issues like nothing else. And when I say flushing, I mean flushing!!! Anyway... I take them at night and have a shower in the morning and after a week of it, things settled down and now all I take is probiotics. The products is called "Yeast Aide" but I don't know where you'd get it from somewhere else....

TD. Did you try the Acijel? Sounds like the skin is pretty raw from trying all the treatments. Maybe try taking some Ural to ease the burning while peeing? Ice packs might help ease the pain a little. There's no point in trying anti-fungal treatments if the swab came back clear. Hope you find an answer soon.

I had the same thing just the itching four times whilst pregnant and the OB put it down to hormones

... Also be careful what toilet paper you use, some can irritate !!!

(Belle, yeh that Ural is great stuff )
