    Question Should I be Concerned????

    Hi,

I have had a dimple in my left breast for some time now. I have been keeping an eye on it and it seems to be getting larger. I am breastfeeding so i am wondering with this can cause dimples in the breast.

Should i go and see the Dr about it??? Its not sore or anything but it is a little worrying.

    Any advice appreciated....

Sara - although it may be nothing, I'd still be seeing your doctor. Better to worry for a few days than for a few months ...

nothing we want to hear, is it? but good on you for doing your booby exams ...

Yes, I think you should go see your doctor. It's probably nothing but it's better to be safe than sorry. I know I read when doing breast exams you should feel for any lumps but also look in the mirror and move around a bit and check if there are any areas of skin that are pulling iykwim?? Best to get it checked out for peace of mind

Just called ABA and they said to go and see my Dr. The lady i spoke to said they will probably just send me for an u/s.

Scary thing is, i have never met my real father and therefore don't know of any health conditions, illnesses or diseases that are on his side.

Definitely make an appt sooner rather than later....at least to put your mind at ease. I'm sure everything will be fine.

GL Sara, I hope it's nothing serious. But you are definitely doing the right thing getting it checked.

I will def keep you all posted though.

    Hi girls!

I can't believe I did'nt come back and update on what happened with the u/s!

So anyway, I went for the u/s and results came back fine. I had a lot of breast tissue between the ducts but nothing serious was showing up.

However, the dimple has continued to get bigger and deeper. I went back to the Dr's about a month and a half ago and she referred me to a breast surgeon. I go and see him this friday!

I will be honest and say I am shi**ing myself. I am trying to keep positive but when you see sad stories like the death of Jane McGrath it really puts the wind up you.

Has anyone been in this situation before???

I am trying to prepare myself for something. I want to think that I am going to go there and he is going to say "Yep, just your boobs! Your fine!". But I keep thinking that I am going to need a biopsy and things like that. Like how are they going to know I am ok without having to do a biopsy?!?!

    *Positive thoughts Sara!*

I will keep you all posted....
