Not sure if this is relevant but I had gestational diabetes and initially found my blood sugars were lower if I walked after each meal. It could be a simple 15 minute stroll - nothing taxing. I guess your muscles utilise the energy rather than it getting stored perhaps??? After a while I found that if I walked each day my BSL's were better for the whole day so perhaps one walk is enough?
Good luck with your lifestyle revision!
