For me it's between 930 and 11. I work shifts so it depends on what shift I've come off and what shift I have the next day.

I used to go to bed much later but I made myself get up at the same time every morning. It soon caught up on me and I was able to get to bed (and sleep) earlier.

Around 9-10pm these days. I used to be up past 1am (as did DP) but since moving in together, we just seem to go to bed earlier... probably the canoodling. DD goes to bed at 6pm so we have a good few hours together beforehand.

I try to go to bed around 11 (but no kids to distract me just DH), and try to get about 7-8hours sleep a night. But lately I find myself ready to sleep at 10ish. DH on the other hand gets distracted by the computer and will come to bed a lot later...

8:30pm to read for 30mins or so then it lights out for me. Sometimes on special occassions or a Friday I will stay up late to watch something on TV or if we are out, it really throws me for the rest of the week, I end up trying to catch up on lost sleep. I have always been an early to bed person. I have been known to have dinner parties at our place and disappear to bed before guests leave.
DH usually 10:30pm or so I think?

Normally around 10:30. There is the odd night at 11:30, normally due to watching something on TV, but I have had a few 9:30's lately.

Sadly I do not sleep straight away, wish I did, so sometimes I am still awake close to midnight.

DH and I always try and go to bed together, and that's normally around 9.30 - 10pm. We usually chat for an hour and catch up on the day, and then go to sleep.

I can't fall asleep straight away like him though (mid-sentence? C'mon dude ) and that's when I get my alone time...

11pm. Trying really hard to get it to 10:30pm but just can’t seem to make it happen.

Between 9.30 and 11 - depends if I am working the next day or if it is a weekend

I need to be in bed and asleep by 10pm for me to function the next day. If I go any later than 10, look out world. My body needs 10 hours sleep. It may not be solid sleep due to kids waking up, but I need those hours.

i'm a night owl big time - always have been - but since being sick and not being able to be up past 8.30 for a couple of weeks, i've forced myself to go to bed earlier (lights out by 10 at the latest) and it's starting to really pay off. it is damn hard to say to DH "no, i'm not gonna watch a movie, i'm going to bed" but i've made myself do it. i think if i could get to a point of being in bed 10.30 and straight to sleep, i'd be happy - but i can't go straight to sleep - i have to read for a while first, so i'm in bed no later than 9.30 now. the few late nights i've had in the past five or six weeks have really thrown me

What's with that? How do people just fall asleep so fast? It's freaky.

Thanks for all the tips. I'll enjoy my late nights for the weekend and then on Sunday night I'll start trying to move my bed time forwards because I average between 5 & 6 hours sleep most nights and it can't be good for me.

I like Sopdet's pattern! I'm hoping to replicate something like that once this crap (i.e. uni) is over!
Meanwhile, it's anywhere between 11 (if I'm just too tired to go on) and 3, lately. But, outside of uni crunch time, between 11 and 1. DP hates it when I go to bed so late, but I need some time with my half-baked thoughts...!

between 11pm and 2am or later. It depends on the insomnia. I am trying to change it and I think Rouge's point about a second wind may apply here too. As it takes me so long to get to sleep, DH waits up to let me go an hour before he does, as he falls asleep straight away and then I lie awake listening to him snore. Before moving to the spare room So he gets upset with me going to bed too late, because he gets tired and I'll be a write off the next day. If I move it back earlier, I may be able to wind down enough to sleep. If I leave it later, I wind up and can't settle.

I've always been a night owl, though. Some of my best work has been done at 2am I did once adjust my pattern so I was up at 6am running before work but that's not my normal way of operating.

I have a wind down routine. I need peace and quiet to turn my head off. I turn down lights, put classical music on. I have a long, hot shower (I do most of my processing in the shower), maybe have warm milk with honey before going to bed. To do that at a reasonable hour, I should eat earlier. So I should be eating dinner now rather than sat on BB writing about how I shouldn't be on BB

I have forever been an 11pm-12am bed time person. In the last 6 weeks I am lucky to make it past 9pm before I'm tucked in. It's all due to eating better and exercising more... I'm just worn out! I also get up earlier.

Before kids, I always went to bed somewhere between 11pm and 2am. And got up to go to work the next day.

These days it's between 10pm and midnight so quite a bit earlier. Partly that's because DD2 tends to wake up around 10pm and once she does, I take her out of her cot and we co-sleep. Partly, it's because even though we co-sleep sometimes she's a thrashy sleeper so if I don't make an effort to go to bed at a reasonable time I will be really tired the next day. Partly, it's because I've heard that every hour of sleep before midnight is worth two after - and y'know what, I reckon that's right. And finally, I've managed to convince myself that if I have more sleep, I will look like a supermodel and not a middle-aged mum.

It's not easy becoming a reformed night owl but it's definitely worth it. I feel much more alive and most days I avoid the 3pm "I'm completely buggered and no idea how I'm going to summon energy to do dinner, bath and bed".

It depends what shift I have at work the next day. 9:30pm if I have to open shop, 10-11pm if I get a later start.
When I don't have to work it's usually around 10:30 or 11:00pm. Rarely after midnight, I like to get up reasonably early to enjoy my days off. And I need AT LEAST 9 hours of sleep to feel good.

Oh, and I can't sleep without a hot shower just before bed
