Me, DH and DS have it!! (DH's is worse tho because it's Man Flu)
DS had the fevers, and was really lethargic and it turned into tonsilitis. He's into his second week now and he still has the cough and snotty nose but is otherwise himself.
I feel blah in the mornings but as i get through the day i start to perk up a bit, then i go down hill again at about 5pm.
    DH is dying.

I have had it for just over 4 weeks now! Started as a head cold, progressed to coughing fits, got a bit better then got way way worse until I was stuck on the couch and talking or moving made me cough until I vomited. I spent nearly $100 on cough suppressants and cough lollies just so I could breath without setting of a coughing fit.
Of course it was right when my DH was away so I had to deal with the kids while I wanted to curl up and die! Thank goodness my brother happened to visit on the worst weekend and watched the kids for a bit so I could nap and bless him, he even cleaned my house!
It was mostly cleared up this past week, but I have been missing a fair bit of sleep and am feeling run down and now it seems to be coming back again!

Hope you are feeling better soon, it is freaking horrible!!

    Artechim, how lovely of your brother! I can only imagine the state of my house had my brother been left on his own accord while I napped of the flu ><;

I know! I couldn't believe it but he and his girlfriend loaded the dishwasher, vacuumed, folded the washing and brought in some firewood for me! So good of them!

Sipping on cold water can help with the coughing. I found mandarins were the only thing I could eat that didn't make me all coughy - this poor bub is going to come out orange!

Bummer on having to cook and washing up My kids lived on supermarket pizza and whatever DS could reach in the cupboard for a few days there!

I have turned into a chronic hand washer. It has kept me safe so far.

    how are you Clover?

when i read you were enjoying a milo, i must admit, i did think "milk with a cold - not a good combo (for flem)".

bilby and i have had flu for easily over a month, i didn't take note of when it started, but it's really dragging on and on and on.

i feel like death warmed up in the mornings. The hacking cough does not help my tracheostomy scar, makes it feel like it's on fire. This is the first year i've NOT had the flu shot, big mistake (for me).

The milo didn't last. They were more about trying to put something in my belly. Funny, coz I'd avoid milk with the kids

I'm still not 100%, but functioning again. I can cook dinner before I die

I'm not too bad in the mornings, but give it a few hours & I'm not the best. Sinus's hurting again & dead tired.

Went to the doc about a week ago, but other than the fevers there was nothing more happening. Nothing on my chest, so no abs. Just panadol & rest. I'm doing my best! lol
