Thursday almost 2 weeks ago & started coming down with this stupid flu.
That day I thought about heading out to my parents place, but took the kids to do some plasta fun & by the time they'd finished I was crashing majorly. i just went home & snuggled in front of the fire, with my dressing gown & lap top.
I couldn't do the drive. 40 minutes on a windy road was too much.
Next day I did. I took an advil (not recommended while BFing, but I needed it) & headed out. I made it, but as soon as I got inside I started to lose it. I couldn't watch the kids properly or focus on anything.
Mum brought home some chicken soup & I had as much as possible, but didn't get far.
Came home on the Monday, after it started to go through the kids. Snot, coughing, fevers. It lasted about 3 days, a bit longer in DD1.
Anyway I thought I was fine... getting better... til about Wednesday. The coughing hadn't stopped completely yet & the fevers came back.
After feeling like crap from coughing all weekend, my sinus's feeling like they were going to explode, I am feverish again today.
My head is throbbing from the coughing, I vomitted after coughing non stop last night
Wish it would bugger off for good!
Friends have all had similar, one is on the second round, only 3 weeks later, not 3 days later.
I'm trying to deal with 4 kids alone... Its not going too well. Specially after not eating, except a bit of dinner, for 2 weeks.
It sounds awful! What does your dr say? Apparently the wet weather seems to increase the number of germs out there (as well as every other animal!) and considering the amount of rain eastern Australia has received this year I'd say there are some nasty bugs. There are also multiple strains of diffferent germs like whooping cough. Sorry but coughing until you vomit sounds like it needs to be tested!

Me, DH and DS have it!! (DH's is worse tho because it's Man Flu)
DS had the fevers, and was really lethargic and it turned into tonsilitis. He's into his second week now and he still has the cough and snotty nose but is otherwise himself.
I feel blah in the mornings but as i get through the day i start to perk up a bit, then i go down hill again at about 5pm.
DH is dying.
