I experienced something like this at my school reunion last year. One guy and his wife had a bub, she was about 4 months I guess, she was in the removalable car seat thing and they sat her on the table behind us where no one was sitting, all alone, awake and alone. I thought it seemed so incredibly disconnected to her and made me sad.
