See I didn't read it that way at all. I read it as a mother who in retrospect wished she'd hugged her children more when she looked at her 17 year old son.
That's all I got. And yes when you are past that point retrospect is great. And of course it's completely NOT realistic to hold and cuddle your child all the time.
And there are some people who do believe that CIO is not ok for their children. And that's ok too.
I don't feel guilty because I had a pram. Nor do I feel bad because I didn't co-sleep. We did for our family that worked for us. That is all that is what everyone does. Do I personally agree with shoving a bottle in a babies mouth, no I don't. But that's my opinion. And I don't think that is what this article is about.
Instead of focusing on what we don't do I think this article was just meant to help you look at your babies in those moments when you feel like your losing it and go, "Yanno, I'm going to miss this one day." and maybe it'll help calm a parent in a mini crisis with a baby who isn't sleeping. And I can't tell you how many times I was saved by a moment like that. It does work. But once again, this is just my POV. And as I didn't write the article it really is no skin off my nose how it's interpreted. I got to take something away from it, and I'm happy about that
