Just a little pout

DD used to cosleep with us from her first wake up. Then it got longer and longer and till around 18 months when she was sleeping all night, yay! Then she still slept in our room in her cot.

With the new baby on the way we decided we needed to put her in her room so the baby doesn't disturb her sleep. She has a single bed in there and already had her day naps there anyway. So on the 1st of January she had her first night in there! She was fine! I didn't get much sleep, lol. I'm so proud of her, such a good girl. No problems, sleeps all night in there or sometimes wakes a bit early and comes into bed with us or calls out and we go get her and she sleeps with us for a couple more hours.

So she is doing really well with it! But I'm not used to it still! lol. I miss her! I miss having her close and being able to hear her breathing when I wake in the night and know she's fine. I have to get up to go to the loo in the night anyway as you can imagine at the moment so I always check on her then anyway. But she just seems so far away.

Did it take other people a while to get used to it too? Even if your child didn't care! lol.
