So what do these people do with their own poo? Surely they flush and wipe that? How is wiping your baby that much different from wiping yourself? OK, someone else, but you're still cleaning up poo. And don't you wash your hands every nappy change anyway? At least my nappies are disposed of near the sink.
FWIW, the amount of people who tell me DS is happy and snug in the carrier and that it's the only way to travel... I have had very few negative comments. The funniest comment was "is he just inside your top?" - yes, I put a baby inside my t-shirt before I go out and hope he clings on for dear life.
I was still BFing when i used cloth (sadly my cloth nappying ended at 5 months when DD outgrew size "small" and i discovered XP had sold size "medium" on eBay...) and i used to say "Oh i'm breastfeeding, NOTHING comes out of her that you can't rinse off with just water" which shut most of them up because the majority of nay-sayers i knew had never even tried BFing, and didn't realise how inoffensive BF-poop is.
I was told by a check-out woman in Marks and SPencer on Friday morning that "she is SURELY FAR too heavy for that!" when she saw DD on my back, and i replied "i guess she must be if even YOU can feel it!" Stupid old....
