Ok no I still don't understand..... If I get two readings of 6.5 or above I'm on insulin, if I get 1 of 8 or higher I'm on insulin....... So 6.3 was kind of pushing it in my mind (however for a non pregnant person it is good)
But we had a function tonight, I finally had to ask for a salad sandwich when all the food came out it was fried finger foods.
So salad sandwich it was - no butter no mayo just lettuce carrot cucumber and onion on multi grain bread. Only drank water all day and actually exercised. my reading 2 hours after dinner was 5.9 which was fine but another hour and a half later and my bgl had risen to 6.5. I hadn't had anything else in that time :/
I technically don't need to report it but think I might just call on Monday and see what the diabetes educator says. My levels for the full day were good, 3.9 fasting, 4.7 after breakfast (2 weetbix - not the best but all we had left before shopping tomorrow) 5.5 after lunch (1/4 cup pasta with chicken, corn peas and carrot) then went for a walk (including 4 flights of stairs which almost killed me lol - I've done those stairs for 7 years its funny how much harder they are at the moment) then a late dinner (salad sandwich - not the usual type of dinner for me). I had an apple at morning tea and mandarin at afternoon tea.
Without cutting certain carbs (like bread - although at home i use a low gi bread and ive been fine) severely I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong?? Any pointers??
