xmas basket ideas....

hi!
Every xmas I usually make the extended family members a basket or bag with a few bits and pieces and then I add all the stuff I make as well.
This consists of :
white xmas
white choc almond truffles
coconut ice
gingerbread men

does anyone have any relatively easy to make ideas, that I could use as well or instead, I feel bad just doing all the same stuff every year.

Are you looking to make things, or buy and add?
We always made yo-yo's (with red/white/green colored icings) and monkey biscuits (xmas shaped) from scratch... but it depends what sort of "audience" they are going to. Do you have a fruit cake tradition? If you have the energy to do it we used to buy a square cake, cut into four, ice with almond icing and then use food dye to stencil xmas characters (santa, reindeer, bells, holly, etc) onto it... HTH

thats a great idea with the cake thing, I tried doing mini xmas puddings a few years back but they were so fiddly!
I think i might just have to try that one.
