Last year we brought DD1 a dairy free egg as she can't have dairy and a few small pressies. Mum always brought us a pressie and still buys clothes or something for all her grand kids. This year i have gotten DD2 a puzzle set and a little toy and will get a small d/f bunny if i can find one again.
I personally love Lindt the best, especially white. I also have an addiction to white KitKat since my last pg but have found DD2 isn't so keen which is definitely a blessing in disguise.
We do an egg hunt, with some small & some medium sized eggs, all divvied up after the hunt - they usually end up with around 4 med sized each, and a heap of small ones. It used to be a bunny each as well but this year I am letting them choose what they want - Panda only wants Lindt, Bubble wants Creme eggs. Pie will just get whatever cause she's too young to know or care
My son is dairy allergic so it's Easter lollipops and a ne car and bunny sticker book this year. My other son is only 14 months so he's getting a small kinder egg (his fav) and a few new toy cars. Were also taking them so sovereign hill as a treat.
My DH is getting a Turkish delight pack and I have asked for a rocklea road from Darrel Lea
Mil ways buys a bag full of cheap nasty stuff for them...
The whole family gets a Elegant Rabbit and Humpty Dumpty. I am buying the plastic pack of eggs for an egg hunt that we all share. DD is also getting a Dora toy I got for $5.
Last year I got heaps of comments about how much chocolate DD got. People just didn't seem to understand that we only got her 2 eggs. The rest was from the family and she didn't eat it all.
The girls get a Bilby, a Humpty and a character set (DD1 getting a tinkerbelle cup with egg, DD2 getting Dora eggcup with egg) plus a gift (DD1 getting a snow white dress up and DD2 getting a Peter Pan dvd).
I will get a box of chocolates from Koko Black as usual
Although we have this new chocolate shop just opened up at my shopping centre, "John Brennan Chocolate" or some such. Either way it look and smells devine, so I will be going in and checking out what they have in there for myself this year.
I have always done a big Cadbury rabbit, some of the normal egg sized hollow ones and then the small solid eggs. But DS1 is more discerning in his tastes these days so he will mostly get Lindt chocolate. We never go overboard - just enough to fill a small bag and never any boxed ones because they just aren't value for money. DH and I don't buy anything for each other as there is enough of the kid's to scab from LOL. My Mum and Nan give them $5 or $10 each which I usually use to buy them a book or something. The IL's give them a medium sized hollow egg.
To celebrate Easter we always have a big seafood meal at the IL's on Good friday and then just a family weekend. But this year seeing as how it is the first Easter that the kids have been Baptised for, I will take them to Church on Sunday morning.
We bought DS (nearly 2) a Thomas the Tank Engine Easter Train....which cheeps too...bonus (Take along series) and a Thomas Bowl/Cup/Spoon set which also comes with a small egg.
We will do a small hunt this year just for a bit of fun
Yay!
i love buying my kid stuff and now he is prolly old enough to do easter
I think we will have a hunt, but also buy a couple of winter top/pants too.
My older kids get an elegant bunny & a tray of medium eggs each. DS2 & DD2 will each get a Bilby. DD3 will get a plush bunny. We buy a pkt or 2 of the small, solid eggs and scatter them all around the house. They get put into a large bowl for everyone & anyone to help themselves to.
DH & I will be receiving as many Buenos as possible!!! lol
I bought ds a cute white and blue pair of fluffy bunny ears
and two bunnies, (they both are different colours lol )
a new set of textas,
some new winter pjs and
a bag of solid eggs for the hunt.....
Well we had to buy eggs for the Kinder easter raffle, and each Kinder kid would "win" an egg - I bought 2 bilbies - well DS was one of the first kids to choose an egg off the table, there were rabbits and eggs and humpty dumptys and lindt (yummmmmy) - the bilby I bought that he hadn't seen me buy was the only one on the table - and he chose it! Go Pip!!!!!
