That's so odd! Is there a surprise coffee machine coming?

Lol... no. Definitely no machine coming! In the past I have been gifted a romance book my MIL had clearly read (multiple breaks in the spine, dog eared pages) which was not even the genre I enjoy - which she would know, given my bookshelves full of crime. Then there was the year she wrapped me up an OPENED packet of biscuits, or the Andre Rieu DVD I had previously seen sitting on her telly - she gifted me that very copy.

Is your MIL suffering from dementia or something similar? Seriously what bizarre gifts to give someone. does she know the coffee things can be used any other way????

Uhh... that's weird. FIL bought lots of little bits for the kids to fill gift bags and lots of it was inapropriate... but the thought was there and I honestly didn't expect him to know what to get them. But MINTIES for a 16 month old?? Err. No.

But then he's the guy who, literally minutes after we'd been having a conversation about DS being dairy intolerant, was feeding DS custard. Seriously.
