I cant just choose one i like them all!!!
I love love love Santa Baby but am also loving 12 days of Christmas (Aussie version) but can't find the version master J sang at his daycare christmas party! i know there was 1 kokkaburra in a gum tree, and 5 kangaroos but can't remember the rest!
I cant just choose one i like them all!!!
O Holy Night for the traditional one and carol of the bells, or all I want for Christmas is you for non traditional.
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen - all time fave! Then again, I also adore Ding Dong Merrily On High for the "gloria in excelsis deo" bit. "Gloria" is just three syllables though and in the song it really isn't. Love singing that, it beats "five gold rings" for bits in a song everyone just has to join in with when they hear.
Non-religious favourites include The Happiest Christmas Tree and Buon Natale (DS also loves these). Saviour's Day, Little Drummer Boy (Aled and Terry), Last Christmas, Driving Home For Christmas, Winter Wonderland... for the most part, I love them all! Ooooh, the 12 days of Christmas song that the chap who was Father Jack on Father Ted did - it's the thank you (or not) letters for all the gifts. Most amusing.
I'm currently singing O Little Town Of Bethlehem as a lullaby for DS too.
Carol of the Bells aka (in this house anyway, and I'm guessing most Family Guy fans) Ding Fries Are Done
I love this one that my kids learnt at nursery
Hee-haw, hee-haw
does anybody care
There's a baby in my dinner
and its just not fair
Jesus in the manger
lying in the hay
far too young to realise
he's getting in the way
I don't blame the baby
not his fault at all
but his parents really should respect
a donkey's feeding stall
After all that journey
with my heavy load
did I ever once conplain
about that dreadful road
I can cope with the backache
and these swollen feet
all I ask is some respect
and one square meal to eat
"Be prepared", I told them
better book ahead
Joseph said "Don't be an ass"
and took a chance instead
Now they've pinched my bedroom
people are so rude
I can cope with that but not
a baby in my food
