I love X-Mas but have NOTHING organised this year.
The girls will both have it sussed out this year so it will be a little more fun, bring on the holiday season i say.
CHRISTMAS is coming!!
Yes, I'm excited already, LOL. Stuff is out in the shops so I figure I'm allowed to be. I bought a decoration yesterday when doing the grocery shoppingDH thinks I'm crazy.
I can't wait though. This year is going to be so much fun, DD1 is starting to really understand what it's all about! Yay!
Where are all my other christmas lovers?

I'm a grinch. Love the true meaning. Hate the tinsel and green plastic trees and inflatable santa's.
Another CHRISTMAS whore here
I have done about 60% of my Christmas Shopping (all of DS's is organised). DS loved it last year but this year its so much more exciting, the magic of Christmas is alive and well in our house.
I even bought an advent calendar yesterday hehehehehe
This year I AM going to make the advent calendar I plan on making every yearJust waiting for Christmas fabric to come out at spotlight! But I have been planning what to put in each day. Ours is about the bible Christmas story of course and I'm planning lots of activities to help DD understand it more. Today she was talking about Christmas and I asked her what it meant and she said 'It's Mr Jesus birthday!'
Thinking I'm going to do a lot of shopping online this year! I love getting unique little gifts for people.
I love Christmas and the whole time of year... summer weekends at the beach with family and friends, evening bbqs poolside!
Plus I have an extra special gift arriving right around then![]()
I can't wait to get into my Christmas club account and start shopping!!!
I'm especially excited as I will be holding my newborn son by then!
I'm excited it's baby's first Xmas not looking forward to paying off the laybys lol
I'm looking forward to DD's first Christmas, can't wait to order her personalised bauble for the tree!!
Naawwwww to all you with your special Christmas bundles, that's lovely
Heaven - I'll have to chat to you (somehow) about your advent calendar and about making it more "bibley" !!We've got a great reusable advent calendar but I hadn't thought of making it into something about the true meaning of Christmas. That reminds me, I should start another thread...
I love Christmas!!! Love it, love it, love it. I've layby'ed all my kiddie gifts, except for our Big ones for the kids. We're thinking trampoline and table for the Thomas train set. Both of which DH wants to be involved in choosing, hence we haven't done anything about them yet![]()
I'm so excited this year that DD will actually understand it!
Although we had momentary confusion with DD when she said Santa and DS's name - you know what it is Heaven? DD is slightly confused and I think thinks they are the same![]()
I'm excited but terrified at being organised all at the same time LOL!! I have most the kids sorted, including our gorgeous little one who will only be a few days old. Hubby organised. Al I need to do is pick up the laybys. Can't wait to watch the kids faces when we look at the lights, put up the tree and spending the day as a family. So excited that I get to make the kids santa sacks and see their faces.
I don't take the kids but I love midnight mass and hopefully I'll be able to make it again this year with bubby.
I have a little bit of anxiety about celebrating Christmas this year. We should have a child... then we should have had a fat belly and have had our gender scan. Instead I'm pretty sure I'll still be avoiding soft cheese, cold cuts of ham and alcohol. Blah.
I am so ridiculously excited for a few reasons!
1. I love christmas and this year we get to spend it with friends at home. Bring on the bbq lamb and champers!
2. The boys are going to love their christmas haul and bonus is I spent half what I usually do!
3. We head to Europe on the 29th so christmas will be the start of an exciting countdown............
and the best part of all is it means DH IS HOME! He's been overseas since May so its been a loooooong end to 2011 but we will be so so happy to have him back in our arms for good! And for christmas! Safe and sound![]()
OP to make your advent calendar a bit more bibley so to speak have you thought of writting the story of Jesus's birth on little pieces of paper and putting one in each day. That way each day they get the next part of the story and an advent surprise.
Liviam- yes! Just posted in the thread OP started about some of the things it's having in it. It's going to have bible verses is each day and then an activity that's related.
Freya- Yay for having DH home for Christmas
Loving reading everyone's posts, getting me more in the spirit already![]()
