We arranged transfers to and from the airport in Bali with the appropriate child restraints. I can't remember what company we used, but they were really good. We also hired a people mover van and a driver for a couple of days and again, we had them supply and fit child restraints. We walked most places, but we did also travel by taxi a couple of times when there seemed no other choice and the kids travelled without restraints, DS on my lap and DD in a regular seat belt. If you do not want to travel without restraints at all, arrange transfers from the airport with a company who will fit child restraints and make sure you stay somewhere which is within walking distance of anywhere you will want to visit. I'm pretty certain the taxi's do not have bolts to attach your own restraint??
