Farewell present

Hi there everyone!
My brother in law and his wife are heading OS for 8 months and I wanted to get them something. Obviously has to be light, and they're the type that would leave anything irrelevant behind (ie they don't want to take anything uneccessary, which I understand). Just wondered if anyone had any ideas as Im not having any luck. Photos are no good really as they will be on the net constantly so they can see pics of kids that way.

what about a travel journal or photo album?

how about a TSA approved luggage lock for bags?

Or a new memory card for their camera?? that way they are able to have a spare and take heaps of photos!
