What does your baby sleep in when you go on holidays?

We havent actually taken Joshua away yet. Do you take a travel cot with you or some places have cots that you can hire?

Lots of hotels will provide a cot if you let them know at booking.
I usually co-sleep on holidays same as at home and also take the hammock along.
There are also hire for baby companies that you can hire from.

We have been away a couple of times, DD is still small enough for a basinette so we take that. But i will start taking a travel cot when she is bigger. Maybe some places hire them, but i dont think it is a standard thing, i would hate to get caught out!
You could always phone ahead and see if where you were headed had one for hire.

ETA- i also guess it depends on where you stay. We camp alot so need to take something!

DD sleeps in a snuggle bed in her cot so we just take that with us wherever we go.

We either co-sleep or use the cot provided by the hotel etc. Depends where you are travelling to really and whether you are taking a lot of other bits. Most places will provide you with a travel cot if you give them enough notification hence the reason why I never bother taking one - one less thing to carry really.

We took a Kinderkot away with us over Christmas, it was excellent. We even took it as hand luggage on the way home as we had a 5 hr layover at Sydney airport. Gave Angus a safe place to play and also to sleep, it was fabulous.

well we are fairly lucky we bought 4 port-s-cots leave one at our holiday place one at IL's and one at my mums we also have one at home which we take if we are going somewhere else, mind you it is cumbersome to travel with one, we were going to use a cot in this motel we were staying in and well let me tell you *ewwwww* we did complain

We take out portacot when we go away but it all depends on where you are going as they are rather large and heavy (good though )
