It's actually cheaper to fly to NZ to ski apparantly.....what do you want to know about snow though?
It's cold and it's wet! It's actually warm (the temperature) while it's falling and you can get a pretty decent sunburn from the reflection off it.
And if you suck at skiing like moi, it really hurts when you fall in it - it's not all soft and fluffy like it tries to pretend to be lol.

That's about as many facts as I know from personal experience.
