It is an exquisite set of islands. Look up the island espiritu santo for gorgeous day trips off the island (luganville is the main town there) - it has beautiful kayak tours and boat tours through the tiny islands and in beautiful lagoons. We stayed on Bokissa Island, near espiritu santu, and I think they run day trips to or from there if you're not actually staying there, but check. Either way there's heaps of breathtaking water based activities and tours in that region. We also went to Tanna - an active volcano island. We stayed in Port Villa a couple of days before Bokissa and booked a day trip from there- you take a small plane then a rough car ride - if you're up for going to the edge of a volcano!

Oh and also from Port Villa you can take an amazing helicopter ride over the islands, and one of the options is a romantic picnic on the same island beach that Survivor was filmed on. The food, champagne etc is provided.
