Hmm can I say both? I definitely buy for the kids more than myself but if I spot pretty shoes its another story.

The more I think about it, now they are getting pocket money I probably buy them less because they are buying things themselves and we're trying to teach them about having to save up for bigger purchases.

    I've stopped spoiling my children.
They have way too much "stuff" so I have introduced "anti-stuff" policies. I only buy toys for birthdays. If anyone else buys them a toy they can either give the toy straight to charity or they can select another toy that they own to go to charity and keep the new one. Pretty much the same with clothes. Books they can have lots of but they can't have crappy book that are TV/movie merchandising. If they break something that's it. It doesn't get replaced unless it is something they really need for school or sport and I will only replace it with the base version.

Always my son, then DH when he's been 'good' ..... Only myself if I really need it, like a hair dye when I look almost totally grey or a new pair of shoes when I really need it... I do need to spend more time on myself , now that I'm pregnant again it's also about the future bub and Do love a bargain

    DS is too spoilt though.....

Will always buy things for kids before myself.

Very rarely buy for myself unless need hair done as too much grey, or need new bra or clothes etc.

Heather my mum did exactly the same with me. The things I got them were things they need anyway, some items of clothing, shoes and DS15 needed some more sinkers for fishing but they still get excited probably because it's a surprise.

I feel guilty, even if it's "free" money (ie: given to me/won etc) if I buy anything for myself. I know I shouldn't but I always do
