i asked DP again and he said when he rang that number all he needed was his TFN and to know the exact amount he got back last year (as I.D).

did anyone do their tax last year through an online tax service? I did mine through e-tax (I think) so now I dont know if it will come directly to me or if it will go through them first. Neither me or DP have got ours yet, but he only did his 07/08 return about a month ago, so not expecting him to be getting it yet.
I have a bad feeling we will be one of the last people and then for some reason they wont be giving anymore

clare - if u can contact e-tax, u need to ask them, they will know. If not u can still ring that number and they will let u know. More than likley ur DP will get his in his tax return this year.

My DH did his tax through H&R block last year, who took their fee out of his payment and paid the tax refund into our bank account, so we presumed that the stimulus payment would be going in there too. Wrong!
Dh called up today and apparently they have sent a cheque to our old address... so they cancelled that cheque and are making up another which should come to us in the next 2 weeks.

Soooooo... if you haven't got it yet, I would suggest either calling your tax agent or the ATO directly to find out what's going on

The payments are still being made up until May 16.

Everyone I know here that are entitled to it have received, except dh and I!! I know it's on the way, I'll just have to keep waiting a little longer.

If you're not sure if you're entitled to it, just do the online calculator on the ATO website. I can only imagine how busy the ATO are with so many phone calls ATM.

Clare, I did my tax return using e-tax and I got the tax bonus just yesterday directly into my bank account!! Yayy!! Thanks Kevin!

When I spoke with the chick from ATO today, she said that a lot of tax agents are rejecting the payments so then a cheque gets forwarded to your addy you have with the ATO, so I'm thinking it's gotta be a massive process to get everyone's payment right.

clare - I did ours through e-tax last year cause our accountant was too busy , did you nominate a bank account or get a cheque in the post? Cause either way if your addy is still the same you will get the money eventually.
