DH doesn't tidy up properly and I can't find all my notes and the cupboards in the kitchen are a mess.

It's about 300km too far south, it needs transplanting northwards.

DUST!! I live on the corner of a dirt road so every single car going into my street drives past my house flicking dirt everywhere. I have to dust every day!

We as a few days ago have a furry border in our roof ... yep, a darn possum DP forgot to mention he noticed one of the wooden borders closest to the eves has come off, hence leaving a nice gap for a possum to get in

My loungeroom is soooo small (my least fav room) ... Also i want a separate dunny (hate em in the bathroom) & i would LOVE a double kitchen sink, & more bench space in the kitchen (or maybe just a dishwasher to hide dirty dishes in will do, LOL)

I also hate....

- My kitchen!! It has a BLUE TILE bench which is a nightmare to clean. THere are also no drawers in the kitchen!

- My house is ALL wood. From, floor, ceiling and even walls. It reflects everything as orange. I just need some plaster and COLOUR somewhere.

- I have a room next to the kitchen which is simply unuseable and a complete waste of space! It's too small for a table so it just gets everything shoved in it. We're renovating the kitchen soon and pushing it back into that room. YAY for more useable space!

Another really irritating thing about our house is that there is no door on our ensuite. We can't leave our bedroom door open when we have guests (helps us to keep it clean if we have someone able to look in there) if one of us is going to the toilet.

I hate my house. Its too freakin small. Like, its TINY. We are overflowing at the seams and will be even worse when the 3rd bub comes along.

I hate the fact that its old, so there are millions of cobwebs that appear on the walls overnight.

I hate the fact that it is so old there is NO storage, no linen cupboard, no pantry - nothing.

I hate that the backyard really isn't suitable for toddlers. Too many places to fall off from biggish heights.

But I do like my hardwood timber floors

I hate my kitchen. It has no useful bench space and it gets so cluttered so quickly it drives me nuts!
There are no build in cupboards in the bedrooms.
The clothesline doesn't wind up or down cos it's old and broken.
The house badly needs restumping and several doors don't shut properly. There are massive gaps that let in all the cold on all the doors and windows.
I'm sure there are other things! One day I will have my perfect dream house!

No kitchen, laundry or proper bathroom. Pip sleeps in our office (least its better than our walk-in wardrobe).

No storage in our house so everything is stacked.

The area where I do cook / wash is downstairs through an uninsulated room and a garage. I have a sink & oven but no benches or hotplates.

And no clothesline, so I hang my clothes out on airers on the roof of the house.

I hate that not one room in the house is finished. Skirting boards aren't attached, doors don't have handles or locks and everything is temporary. I have coathangers as latches in sliding doors that don't have architraves and the wind rushes through. I hate that there's a blue tarp in front of my bedroom window because the doors aren't sealed.

I actually hate my house.

I hate that my block is quiet large for residential, but 80% of the land is un-useable.

Stupid positioning of the house makes the 1000sq out the back no accessible except thru the laundry, but the back yard of steep slopping so difficult for the kids to play in unsupervised. It also means that about 700sq of the front is just "bush" gardens, but slopping again.. plus we are infested with spiders outside.. yuk!!!

The kids only have about 100sq of nice grass to play on.. seems such a waste!!!!!!

Yep I agree with the dust comment, I dust everything, the next day I can see everything is dusty again and I HATE dusting!

Storage space in non-existant.

Kitchen - Yuck! there is no bench/sink space so even with just 2 plates and cups it looks messy. The tiles are grey and show up everything, I mop and once again the next day, dirty! The oven doesn't cook very well, 10 minute cookies take 30-40 minutes to bake.

The toilet! we have hard water, so there is always a stain at the bottom of the bowl that drives me crazy, it never used to be there, what happened?!

Argh and mice, we bought a cat, it got rid of the mice, but over summer the cat decided she liked it better outside so the mice returned... yuck, we now do not have a usable pantry as we cannot get rid of these smart little mice, cat is coming back inside more now that it is getting cold so the mice disappear again.

Hmm, there is alot more but I shouldn't winge to much, it really can't be that bad .

MMMM, mine sounds petty noww, but here it is:

- small ugly kitchen with textured benchtops. WTF? who wants a textured benchtop? It's so hard to wipe clean. Well, better than my old house where the benchtop was covered in orqange mosaic tiles from the seventies. Can you imagine the grout?
- Bathrooms sooo tiny and in need of overhaul (some tiles falling off, needs regrouting etc., shower screens cracked).
- Bathtub is shallow and short. Useless for adults. but great for DD.
- windows and doors don't seal and are warped from moisture.
- nasty carpet in the living room and bedrooms. it's not that old, but looked ancient and dirty when first laid. I would so love floorboards or tiles. Much easier to keep clean.
- Leaky roof. Was fixed so manyh times. But water always seems to get in somewhere.
- Sloped backyard. Much of the area can't really be used. And the top of the "hill" has no grass on it, because water just runs off. So t's like a dirty sandpit. All that fine sand causes lots of dust in the house, too. Especially when our dog keeps rolling in it.

Thanks Brontide, I have been toying with the idea of a sandpit for DD's birthday. But was afraid of the "sand goes everywhere" phenomenon. You have convinced me that my fears are not unfounded.

It's tiny. With no backyard, just a concrete courtyard. The more kids we have, the bigger they get, the smaller the house seems.

Frustrating as it is though, we do have a light at the end of our tunnel because we're building. So. That is probably the only reason my spirit isn't broken yet...but we haven't even hit winter yet and the house won't be ready til summer....so we'll see.....

My Kitchen. Its the most cluttered, most ugliest thing on the planet. The rest of the house I love minus the things falling apart but the kitchen... pure hideousness. There is about a metre worth of usable bench space which is ANNOYING. The wallpaper is from the 70's but the house is 80's (white with green, yellow & orange floral design). Half the kitchen is dark wood veneer malamine crap. The other half is grey malamine crap. Totally mismatched. There are broken drawers, doors missing and our pantry door is completely falling apart.

I have 3.5 metre long bench in the kitchen. This would be fantastic but it gets covered in crap from one end to the other. Honestly, I have no idea where it all comes from. I tidy it all off & the next day more crap has accumulated It's not even kitchen kitchen related stuff. It has mail, tools, important paperwork, dog leash, magazines, face washers & a whole heap of screws on it at the moment to name a few!! I even got a nice basket thing to put stuff in so it wouldn't get strewn all over the bench...it's just overflowed!!

I have no carpet in my bedrooms or main living room, just concrete. I can't remember what nice soft carpet feels like on my poor feet...

I have floor to ceiling windows but 2 of the bedrooms & another living area face west. In the summer these rooms get stifling hot but we haven't got a verandah up on that side of the house yet, no air con either!!

There is a man made hill of gravel in my backyard!! DH won't get rid of it as he wants to use it for the above mentioned verandah foundations...it's been there for 6 years!! It may only be 1.5 metres high but it's still makes me mad everytime I go outside.

I think that's it. Used to be a much longer list but renovations have been full steam ahead. I guess I can't complain.
