Good to hear that buyers still like a splashback Joeve! Our corian has flecks of a dark red in it so I'm really thinking the claret red could work well. Maybe with a shimmer in it... Not sure what DH would think though. He's away til tomorrow night so will have to try and find some good pics to show him and twist his arm

Do it do it!! Go the red!! I'm just looking at mine now and from a distance with the light of it looks really deep and almost a bit black. Turn the light on and it's more the claret. I've got stainless steel appliances and then red kichenaid etc and it's great

I do it using Tapatalk on my iPhone. Are you on a mobile or a computer?
With Tapatalk there's a little icon at the bottom of the screen while you're writing your post that looks like a mountain with the sun above it. Click on that and it lets you pick the photo. When the link to the photo comes up you just have to delete the letter IMG and the square brackets at the front and back of the link.

I think kitchens and bathrooms are still huge selling points on houses - mainly because if they're awful they're so bloody expensive to make nice!!

Mrs P - if you want the whole kitchen let me know, but basically the splashback and bench space in the photo is the only benchspace down that long wall - the rest is ovens, cupboards, fridge etc

Does anyone want to comment on the cost? I asked on page one but no one answered. Price per metre would be helpful.

Miss P answered on page 1 - $400 to $500 per lineal metre including installation but plus GST.

I have absolutely no clue how much either our glass splashback or the current stone one cost - they were bundled together in either a build cost or kitchen reno cost.

LuluHB thanks for the pic, gorgeous kitchen!!

Ausgirl prices above but I think it can vary depending on your location and also the type of splashback. I think ones with shimmer/metallic finishes cost more. Also something to think about is cutting holes eg for powerpoints etc. I think that can be $50 per cut.

So I texted DH and he thinks the dark red would be ok!! So now I just need to call the 2nd company on Monday and hope they can come out soon for a quote and bring lots of samples

Ours was around $500 per sq mt, depends on the colour you get- ours is the green natural glass colour. Sob sob I miss our gorgeous kitchen. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/01/19/8yde5a5y.jpg
Have attached a photo, on my phone so not sure how it will work. The colour is greener than it shows here.

    Me too Sangie!

Tanstar that kitchen looks stunning! What kind of lights did you have under the top cupboards? Were they installed by an electrician?
