    Glad it went well Aimz!!

    SO i got accepted into our local hosp home birth program and will be meeting my midwives within the next few weeks. Im still slightly unsure whether I will attempt homebirth or not.

    Can I ask a few questions?

    How do they prepare the environment for it? My last labour was only 35min so we are hugely worried that no one will even make it in time and want to know if they leave like a sterile kit etc at your home?

    I dont have a huge house either.. and the main living area is very open (no curtains LOL) so the brith area maybe our bedroom so do I need water proof stuff etc?

    I have put a mattress protector on my bed... But you really don't need anything if you will be expecting someone to turn up with everything. Cord can stay intact, everyone has towels, you have your breasts and I assume you will have baby blankets and nappies... *shrugs*

    Things that I have in my pack are;
    Mirror
    Towels
    Scissors
    Cord ties
    Homeopathic herbs to help with after birth pains and to help combat any excess bleeding.
    Herbs for soothing my perineum
    List of emergency numbers
    Ummmm... Think that's it without going to look.

    So we now have a vomiting almost 5 yo in the house *sigh*
