Congratulations Beatrix on the (SPEEDY!!) arrival of baby Zoe!!

Hope you are ok after such a whirlwind arrival! and go DH on catching her as she made her way Earthside

(I am guessing you would of had a HB no matter what with that fast labour lol!). Glad that you had your midwives by your side soon after

Yep, sounds like that would have been a homebirth no matter what! Much nicer when you're actually planning it. Was everyone OK with the midwives not arriving on time, or did that cause a bit of stress for you or your DH?
My DH had a dream the other day that this baby would arrive before the midwives too. It wasn't scary to him in the dream, but who knows how you'd feel if it was real life. I'm not too afraid of birthing alone, just of having a PPH, since this is baby #7.
By the way, did anyone see the little video clip that was floating around Pinterest of the lady giving birth in the car on the way to the birthing center? (Who whips out the video camera then?! Her husband was driving, freaking out, and videoing the moment.) Basically she just lowered her pants in the front seat, reached down and picked the baby up from between her legs. He was pretty gooey with vernix, etc., but making noises and in great shape.

Cricket- DH was absolutely amazing!! He wasn't scared (well didn't show it if he was)
Will write up birth story tomorrow on laptop lol shouldn't take long. It will be filled with more emotion then actual birth LOL as it was so fast.
But when I realized they weren't going to make it he was reassuring me as I was slightly freaked out thinking he was going to freak out. Plus our 3 girls were there and there support person hasn't arrived yet either lol

But all worked out well. The older girls were fine and I am thrilled at the bond DH will have with his baby girl being the one who guided her into this world!!!
