Oh wow! Congrats ep and phyreply! Well done mammas! So nice to log in and see you great news. I notice tegam hasn't been in for a few days. Dare we start to stalk? I can't see your ticket tegam, but from your comments, I can only assume you are hanging out to birth this baby of yours. Many, many blessings sweet mamma. I hope that this birth is everything you could hope for.

Afm, well it was a fluke and a once off. We are doing literally everything to try to help Eddie with his pain. I'm talking chiro and water before feeds, to losec and panadol, not forgetting regular leg pumping and lots of time upright after a feed, plus of course I have eliminated everything fun to eat! I do it all. He often has times when he is good, and then he will revert back. I am hoping the losec will really help him. Actually I hope anything will help him. So sad to see my baby distressed the way he gets. Also I think sometimes I am so tired when he wakes that I fall asleep with him upright at the breast and then don't put him back down in a way that is helpful for him to go to sleep. So he wakes up, and then I am screwed. Dh had some time off work this week, cos none of us are coping with colds on top of the sleep deprivation. We are just falling apart atm. But I really really hope it will pass soon. Fx for me.

    Congratulations e_p!

Bella, if i fed ds lying down, and didnt move him after the feed, he often slept ok. if i moved him, and he woke, we were stuffed for hours.

Oh bella i had so hoped for you that it was the start of something good. Is it now that i tell you the DD3 Miss 3 didn't sleep until she was 2yrs old. We did a hair follicle test to find out what she was intolerant too! Within a few weeks there was an improvement and after 3 months she was a different child. I will be paying for the test much sooner if this child goes down the same path!

Yes I'm next But don't start stalking just yet, there is NO movement at the station yet. I have had three bad nights of BH but thats not unusual for me nearer the end. Come monday it will be my longest pregnancy. WHo in gods name would make you be the longest the 5th time…. i have no idea but seems mean and male Im doing ok but would just love a cuddle and a kiss and to know what the sex is. We still don't have any names we like… scary. My MW seemed so positive that id have the baby this week….. see her again monday, she booked it as a post natal appointment but I'm not liking my chances

Stalking you anyway Tegam! Maybe this weekend...

And any day for you too kellbell!! How are you feeling?

Bella I hope something, anything, works soon too! Perhaps probiotics? We're about to start our little one on sauerkraut juice, just a drop on the end of my finger everyday.

Certainly a good reality check this morning wasn't or kellbell. So much our bubs can teach us too I've only ever lost a bit of plug, just a clump of mucus... Hasn't stopped me for searching for one every toilet trip lol

My plug looks like that too but I've always had blood too and labour starts straight after.

Of the 13 people in our due group there were only 3 spontaneous labours. Inductions are very common it seems!

    Re: Homebirth General Discussion #22

Hey Bella, just saw your post while I was in here stalking some of my buddies. Not sure if this could work for you, but my mum swears by drinking fennel and caraway tea (old german remedy for colicky babies). It helps soothe the belly and release all the trapped gas. Just to clarify, mum drinks the tea! Bub just gets to share through the breast milk. It can be hard finding that tea here in Australia, but I just bought plain fennel tea (or a fennel tea mix, like a belly soother) and then add a tea spoon of caraway seeds to the cup. Steep, strain and drink.
Like I said, it may or may not work, but sometimes you're ready to try anything to help bubby.

That's a good idea. The lady I buy pregnancy and baby herbs from makes a tummy tea for mamas to drink for unsettled babies and it has "Anise Seed, Fennel Seed, Dill Weed & Seed, Catnip and Chamomile"

I am loving No vaginal exams , no Interventions it's bliss ! Im happy no one will be breaking my waters :-)

I guess it's just the norm these days to be Induced it seems crazy
Apparently a lot of babies are born on certain days in Australia due to the days they begin inductions
