Thanks! Feeling OK. Pretty exhausted currently, but I'm also battling a head cold, so that probably has something to do with it. No nausea yet, really, but I'm expecting that to start around 6 weeks or so. We'll see. I'm booked in with the midwives again, but I won't see them until about 10 weeks. I'm debating talking to my GP about an early scan, just to make sure all is well. She offered to do that for my next pregnancy when I saw her after the miscarriage.

Freya - your birth video is really lovely. Such a little sweetie! I loved the shots of him looking around so alert and content, snuggled up to you, and also where his siblings come and meet him. Great memories, and so special to have them on video. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Quiet thread! How is everyone? Kazzo - how's the waiting treating you?
I haven't been around this thread enough to know if anyone else is getting close...
I'm definitely feeling this pregnancy more. Tired and nauseated, but thankfully not quite as light headed as with DS last time. I was nonfunctional. Not a fun time. Things are plodding along slowly here, but so far so good. And after supper these days I look about 6 months pregnant. So bloated! Crazy.
    Hope everyone else is well!

Aw, Kazzo - parenting on your own is super tough! Take it easy on yourself. Will your DH be back soon? Hope you're doing ok.

    Re: Homebirth General Discussion #23

DH will be home on the 8th so just under two weeks.

I start off feeling great in the morning but by mid afternoon the sciatica kicks in and that is probably the worst. Everything else is fine. This pregnancy I am all bump, I have not put weight on anywhere, not even love handles, makes me wonder if that is why the pain is worse this time.

I was not sure if this would be our last but this back pain makes it easy to think it may be.

But I am feeling good otherwise. Very excited to meet bubs and that it will be in the comfort of our home. I asked a friend to come along and take some photos. More for after when the kids come to meet bubs and our first bonding moments.

Have you tried physio for the sciatic pain at all? I've heard from others that it can be a big help. Either way, I hope you get some rest, and that baby doesn't make you wait too much longer! (Well, until your DH is home, maybe, I guess. ) Having someone take pics after is a great idea. Those are such special memories, and it can be easy to miss the moment with the camera, because you're busy with everything else.

Thankfully the backpain has really eased off. 38wks now. I love this anticipation period. Going to blow the pool up tomorrow. I decided on using our spare room, i can get it all ready and close the door to keep the kids out. DS had his birthday today. Glad no birthday sharing for him. Now just need to avoid DD's next Wed

    Re: Homebirth General Discussion #23

Thanks so much ladies. This is a little tougher, because I really thought this one was staying. My body still feels pregnant, and I'm not sure how this will progress. My family doctor saw me right away, and together we'll come up with a plan as to how to proceed. Watching hormone levels for now, to see what's happening. I think we're going to take a break from this, and maybe try again in September or so. We'll see.

Welcome to the group MamaK! Go ahead and introduce yourself, and congratulations on your pregnancy!

I hope this time is peaceful for you Cricket.

Well, I just found out I'm pregnant with #3 this morning! It's super early, and I kinda feel ridiculous even just announcing it yet!!!

I had DS in a hospital almost 19yrs ago, with an epidural, but it was a beautiful birth that I can't complain about.
DD was born in water at the local hospital. I was induced due to pre eclampsia, but I got to keep my Birth Centre midwife and it was another beautiful birth.

This time around, my last baby, I would like to deliver at home, with the same midwife who was there for my daughter. She's already on board, but I have to wait until 20 weeks to book in.

I'm here to get advice, support and ideas for hopefully yet another beautiful, empowering birth.

Looking forward to hearing stories and learning lots!

    Thanks MamaK.
BB is the best place for early announcements. You can jump for joy here with us, even when you can't tell everyone else yet. I've had four babies at home, three of them in our own bath, and it has been the best. DH was a little hesitant before our first one at home, but he's a huge advocate for homebirth now. It's nice for dads too. I'm sure you'll find lots of great advice and support here.
