Yep. And at the end of the day, posterior isn't "bad" either. Just probably a bit of a longer labour.

    Nice!

My MW predicted a faster labour for me and I wasn't really buying it... so 3.5 hours surprised me

How long was your first labour Meow? I know your pushing stage was shorter the second time round - how much by? I think I pushed for 45 minutes with DD2 - would like to shorten that a little.

I was ROA with Marta for the majority of the pregnancy, except in the last week where she went ROP. then within 2 contractions in early labour she whizzed back around to anterior (good bubba lol).

my first pushing stage was 42 minutes...tiring much lol. and with DD2 from the beginning of breathing her out (no pushing thanks!) was 9 minutes! amazing! i was not exhausted this time after it all. weird how fast it went really. but i guess being upright helped...and not pushing. i swear by pushing it was taking longer....going against the force ITMS.

*edit* my first labour was 9.5 hours and second labour from waters breaking (which is when i count labour as that was when it felt serious...ie definitely NOT early labour lol) was about an hour and half.

My first labour was about 13 hours established with 2 hours of pushing. The birthcentre said 2 hours ofpushing because that's when I first pushed out the bag of waters but I didn't have strong pushing urges right from that point. So maybe about an hour/ hour and a 1/2?

Second labour was 3.5 hours established with 50 mins of pushing.

I wish I was someone who breathed their babies out. I had strong pushing urges and couldnmt have not pushed. I was upright for both of them, though more leaning into all fours with my second. With the second the pushing contractions were so strong my body was pushing down for me. At the very end my body actually pulled me upright the contractions were so strong and I also pushed super hard on the very last push getting his body out.

ah see for me, the pushing was all directed (at the hospital) so they kept telling when to push...which was contrary to when i felt the need to push ITMS...with Marta the pushing urge was there but for some reason not as full on as it was the first time...

so i guess what i should of said is i reckon directed pushing takes longer!
