Sorry haven't been in here yet just busy and running on no sleep- Malaila has got her days and nights confused lol. And am having difficulty napping when she is during the day!
Thanks for all your congratulations!
Am so happy to be a mummy! Love every minute even the sleepless nights cos it's totally worth it (although I hope I get more sleep soon). Am so happy I got to have my home birth it truely was amazing to have her in my own home! I will get around to writing a birth story when I get the time. The only trouble I had was at the end when her head was stuck in the same position for ages and I was pushing for about 2hrs! I ended up having to get out of the birth pool and try different positions- but we got there in the end, I was rather exhausted though! My peri was intact, which suprised the midwives they thought for sure I would have teared. Dh was an awesome birth support and without him it would have been very tough.Totally in love with her and loving being a mummy!
*mwah* love your ticker photo Em!!! How absolutely amazing are those first fresh cuddles in your own home??!! Sleep will come babe, but newborn gorgeous gooeyiness goes way too fast, my motto this time around is: 'no sleep? more cuddles!'. and yay for no tearing! my hat goes off to you!
So, chat with our midwife today.
First, she reckons if DD had come down with teh normal presentation, then i might not have needed an epis, so there's a chance I might birth without being cut in future. yay.
Second, she says homebirth with the program is probably out of the question after such a big pph. Maybe we could do a domino birth. It wouldn't be for a few years anyway, so who knows where we'd be by then. A little bit bummed (cos yeah, already thinking about the next one )
Stoked, how big was your pph?
