Oh wow. Some beautiful shots there Cassius! I've no idea who will take the photos for us, but I def want some :) would never dream of photos of my hospital births.. only baby photos there lol.
Just wanted to also apologise for notposting much. I've been reading but life is terribly hard and busy at the moment. There is a lot going on. I cheered myself up yesterday by watching my birth montage and it made me think how funny it is that giving birth is something that good it can cheer up the glums :D

Hopefully I will be able to get back in here before too long. Makes me sad to think I should have been well on my way to planning our homebirth. At this point in time I dont even know where we will be when the next bub decides to join us but no matter what s/he WILL be homebirthed.

Thanks meow! I am getting very excited now, but also impatient lol Have to keep reminding myself to settle down.
DH gave me a boost yesterday though: random "I am not anxious about you giving birth this time at all. Last time I was, but I am just excited this time. It will be fabulous." Yay! Was really good to hear it. He is a very calm and collected person for the most part, and has been my Sentry this whole pregnancy with the doctors and hospital, making sure I don't get sucked into their bull****. But was ace to hear him say something like that just out of the blue. :)
Thankyou so much for sharing. Just beautiful. We are only 3 weeks from our third sons due date, and i am hoping for a waterbirth at the Family Birthing Centre. You have really inspired me to focus my plan around the bath.

what i loved about having the photos (and i reckon that anyone planning a HB should really consider getting some happy snaps taken...my two cents lol!), is being able to see some of the details ITMS. for example i love that in the early just born shots her cord is fat and plump, and then in the shot where the placenta has been put in the pot (But still attached) it has gone thin and is obviously no longer pumping. for me to see that now was really cool as i was too focused on her and the moment to take in those kind of details. my only regret is that we didnt film it. some of the banter that went on was hilarious (like when she was coming down the birth canal everyone was like mega serious and all that and out of nowhere i started laughing hysterically and they all jumped saying 'what? what?' and i laughed that Marta was trying to dance her way out lol! she was nodding her head the whole way down...man it funny lol)...would of loved to have had that on film...

I took a lasagne around today to a mum from my playgroup who had a home birth a week ago. So gorgeous. It's just beautiful talking about birth in someones home. I love home birth!! I'm quite a birth addict. Love talking about a good birth :D

I hope those Knobs are leaving you alone. I cant believe the tools would actually HARRASS a woman on the verge of labour (well actually I can imagine them stooping that low). I mean seriously, how is that ethical!? What are their "concerns" for you exactly?
Oh my goodness! I can't believe they're harrassing you! The hospital I'm booked into (in case I go early again) has my due date at 19th instead of my date the 24th.. and I asked my midwife - they won't hassle me when it comes to that due date will they? She said they wouldn't. Now you've got me worried! LOL.
I hope they leave you alone and don't end up stalling labour! I don't think I know your history actually.. were you under OB care, but planning a home birth? How does that work?
ohhhhh that is sooo sneaky of them!!!! grrr! i hope that it is all ok for you and you feel safe and supported regardless of their attempts at fear-mongering...remember, you are a birthing mama, your waters have broken your baby will come...
if they are harrassing you for the waters thing, tell 'em to shove it! a heap of research has come out stating that it is more than ok and normal to let labour initiate within 5-6 DAYS....
you are perfect and your baby has been baked to perfection. xx

Congratulations once again Lime! Hope you're enjoying those previous newborn cuddles!
I'm having a great day today! Had my first appointment with my midwife to see if I'll be accepted into the CMP and it's a big fat Y.E.S! Woohoooo! I just have to get my backup hospital to acknowledge that it'll be happening (and not object, which they have no reason to) and it's all go. Yay! Feeling very relieved! She has started an active management plan (3rd stage, to prevent PPH again) already so feeling alot more confident about the whole thing. I will be having a student midwife again aswell. Also got to listen to bub's heartbeat which was great!
My midwife is lovely, very down to earth. It's strange to think I'll be having a baby with a different midwife this time but I have lots of time to get used to it!
Hope you are all well and all the new bubs are thriving!

Well I didn't get my homebirth, but I did get my VBAC in a roundabout way, so I am still over the moon. Can't have everything sometimes!

Cant wait to read your birth story... no sadly seems we cant have everything sometimes, especially when it comes to birth but BOY you should feel proud getting your VBAC. So much better for you and bubs and wow you will enjoy the quicker recovery time too!:

I mean technically I'm getting close to the 4 week countdown but we all know it will be closer to the 6 week mark. Getting lots of period type cramps lately though, urgh. No fair when my contractions didn't even feel like that!
Tuesday marks the start of the insertion of EPO and peri massage. Joy!
I always feel that way Mel, why oh who do i need months of BH when labour doesnt even last that long!
