Wahhh. Ladies, I've hit a block today. I'm feeling very, 'I want my baby now!'. Can I leach some of your zen positivity for a bit, please? Up until today I've felt fine - very uncomfortable, very full of baby, but okay. Today I feel restless and almost bored with being pregnant Not a good mindset, really. Any positive affirmations I can use?

Your doing great pumpkin! I think every woman hits that wall towards the end. That feeling will shift soon. Remember a rose bud that is tightly furled doesn't benefit from fingers being poked in trying to open it. Nor does your body benefit from any of the "natural" induction methods. Try to do something to soothe and relax yourself. A bath is great cos the weightlessness can relieve some of the heavy feeling. In a little while you will be missing your bump whilst you care for your new baby, so as hard as it may seem try to treasure this last precious phase of your pregnancy. When it is gone you will miss it trust me!

Good luck honey, the more you relax the more likely baby will decide to come. It needs you to feel your best before labour starts.

I only felt this way when I hit 41 weeks so I'm probably not much help. I vote watch more DVDs and do NOTHING Oh, fill your freezer with home cooked meals though.

Thank you beautiful mummas! I love the image of the Rose...I don't want anything bruising it!

We don't have a bath, (I know! ) but I am about to have a nice steamy shower with some of my favourite aromas going in the burner, play some nice music and relax. DH is going to jump in and wash my back (relaxes me soooo much). I need to stop listening to all these outside influences, over the last few days I've had every man and his dog telling me all this stupid advice (I can't stand it especially from people who have no children/have never been pregnant, and people who are pro interventionalist birth). So I'm going to retreat into my little cocoon for a bit I think, with my fit ball and some tea and just reflect. Isla will arrive peacefully and happily when she and my body choose, not forcefully or aburbtly because she's forced to for my own comfort. I'll just comfort myself in other ways - like imagining how beautifully she's growing in there, and how beautifully my body is doing.

Very right Tash.... You also forgot the weed smoking, tree hugger
I cannot confirm or deny this at all

PZ - You have a great big bath in your living room! Chuck some water in it and splash around Feeling sick of being pregnant is perfectly normal, nothing wrong with feeling like this. Just know it's part of the normal process, so there's no need to act on it. Just breathe through it.
Babies are born on their birthdays. Bub has magic powers and will trigger labour when she's ready. Meanwhile, rest up, read a book, have lots of naps, get a pedicure, do some squats to practice. You don't bub to come before next Sunday anyway Imagine a great big bubble of peace all around you that no negativity can get through. Go into lala land and close the door on anything else.

I second tash on this one... Get in that birth pool woman. Fill it up, jump in with your husband watch some Telly!
Whenever I wondered when Marta was going to come I used do some of my calmbirth stuff and visualize this last little time with her in my belly getting fat and gorgeous and then visualizing my womb holding her so perfectly, while my cervix was softening and getting ready. Bellyrubs are a must!
