Anyone ever gotten pregnant on Implanon?

I am 99% certain that I'm not pregnant but I just wanted to find out if anyone has gotten pregnant while on implanon?

I've had mine in since DD (now almost 15 months) was 6 weeks old. I get my period roughly every 30-40 days for about 10-14 days at a time and I did have a slightly shorter bleed a couple of weeks ago that only lasted about 8 days.

I've been feeling really, really unusually tired lately and this morning I feel rather nausious. I'm sure I feel sick because of something I ate though, but the tiredness is unbelievable, I don't think I've felt this tired since I first got pregnant with DD and then again when she was first born and I was up every 2 hours for feeds.

I really don't think it's pregnancy, but am slightly worried anyway. I don't want another kid yet.

I have a friend who did

    Hey,
I know of a girl who got pregnant who had been on implanon. So it is possible! I imagine more likely if you are still getting your period. I thought Implanon was meant to cease ovulation altogether so you wouldn't get any bleeding/spotting at all? In which case one would imagine it would be impossible to get pregnant!?!?

my ex sil did, but was due to her hormones being completely out of whack in the first place.

I do know of another girl who thought she did, but turned out the doc stuffed it up and only inserted the cartridge and not the hormone rod!

Hi Danni. You can fall pg on implanon. Like you can with pretty much any form of contraception. Nothing is 100%.
As Starrysky said, it has to be inserted right. You should be able to feel it. I had a friend whose was in too deep.
I don't think it has much to do with weather or not you bleed while you have it in. Every one is different, some get AF more, some less, some not at all, some stay the same.
I hope you aren't pg yet Do a test to put your mind at ease.

I had totally forgotten about this thread. Not pregnant. That particular "cycle" was just one of the longest I've had on implanon at about 45 days. I had 28 days between day one of that bleed and day one of the next one. I know it's inserted properly. I can feel it all the time.

I've got implanon too Danni and have quite erratic bleeding, I never know where I am in my cycle as they're all over the place, one of the down sides of it. But it's so convenient not to have to take the pill anymore so I put up with it!
