depo-provera (3 month contraceptive injection) anyone been on it?

i have had it twice, first time i had my periods for over 6 months second time i was told wait 5 years and test it again but same thing happened so i have NEVER taken it again. it did not agree with me at ALL!

I was on depo provera for just over 3 years. I lost my libido, and 40kg.

I also suffered from depression whilst I was on the shot (but recently found out I am intollerant to wheat/yeast/gluten so that could have also been a trigger!).

I went straight from depo provera onto the pill, and have had a period every month on that (have not gone off the pill yet, as we don't want babies just yet!).

I have been off the depo provera for about 6 months now, and still don't really have my libido back.
