I had 2 lots of gel (6 hours apart) and after the 2nd lot of Gel I got irregular contractions. The girl in the room next to me had the gel and few hours later was in strong labour, everyone is different. Unfortunately for me it was a cascade of intervention, the drip was inserted after 12 hours of irratic labour, I managed the next 12 hours drug free with hypnobirthing, however when internal was done I was only 3cm and had an Epidural as I was exausted from being in labour for 24hours, 10 hours after that was in transition however I was unable to birth Julia as she got stuck in my pelvis so emergency c/s was done.
