    How long??

As many of you know, I have just weaned Sammy. His last breast feed was on friday morning of last week. My boobs are going up and down still in fullness. I am massaging lumps as they arise but can anyone tell me how long I should expect this for. I seem to have forgotten with my girls, just how long this might last???

    Hi,

It's amazing how much milk you still have at the end of 2 year breastfeeding and (I guess) a fairly leisurely weaning. What a sensational job you have done. How is Sammy going with it all?

If your breasts feel full, and you think you could, express a little in the shower (or elsewhere!) just for comfort. This will probably last a week - two at most. For a while after that you may be able to get a little milk out when you squeeze, but shouldn't notice anything else
    Warm Regards

Thanks Barb..ive actually woken up today feeling a lot less full which is promising. Sammy is doing really really well with it, thanks for asking. Weve exchanged booboo for lots of cuddles instead so where he would be asking to be fed, he know asks for cuddles. Im amazed at the transition really.

I know a couple of women who STILL leak milk if they hear a baby crying LOL - and it's years since they weaned!

Well done on following Sammy's lead Jo - you're a fantastic example I don't think I could wean DS if I wanted to! He's such a booby boy - and I'm sure there's no milk left for him at the moment. He'll get a rude shock when the milk comes in I think LOL.

Hope your boobs settle down for you soon without too much discomfort
