2 years is excellent! I only got my daughter to about 1 year, because I fell pregnant with my son when she was about 8 months. My milk supply went right down, but she still fed until she was a little over 1, although I'm sure she wasn't getting enough. I'm planning on letting my son breastfeed for as long as he wants to. I enjoy it and it gives me pleasure seeing how he grows off my milk! But I agree totally, I wish we could give up breastfeeding when the feeling to give up was mutual between Mum and bub, instead of our bodies making the decision for us.
