I need a life!!

Hi all,
I'm 21, mummy of 2 month old Ashton Mark, I live in brisbane on the north side and i'm in dire need of some good gal pals i can let my hair down with once and a while! i only moved up to brissy in april so i havent made any friends up here, all my old friends are down in sydney and they wont come up here to visit because they suck so i dont bother with them anymore, new city, new life, new friends, thats wat i say... but i miss going out dancing soooooo much, i havent been to a club since i was 6 weeks pregnant, and that was a loooooong time ago in my books! I'm only 21 for heavens sake, i'm not over the clubbing scene yet!
dont get me wrong, i love my little angel to bits and wouldn't give him up for the world but i still need to get tipsy and dance all night long once in a while...
so if there are any youngin's wanting to boogy on down with me, or even just say hello, i don't wanna just party, it would be nice to have someone besides bubs to talk to for a change...

If I was up there I would come dancing, but I'm not. I know exactly how you feel though. I moved to this crappy town in Jan & know noone. Only my brother & SIL. It sux & its boring. No babysitter either, so NO social life at all! Well not much of one anyway.

nadine - oh hear on my planet THERE'S ALWAYS ROOM FOR DANCING! thats no probs, i wasn't planning on going to Faaaaaaar away anytime soon lol but a chat online always helps me lose a bit of sleep now n then!

beatrix - SWEET LORD who was the pr!ck who left u with 3 kids! he should be shot! although if u were the one who left him then GOOD, ur better off without him!

my name is skye im 19..i only just joined up...i wish i had the energy to go out and party it would be great but i live in canberra and its way to cold to go out..i dont know anyone either,it gets pretty boring talking to my 3 month old daughter al day long and my dp works 12hr shifts all the time so i barely see him...hopeing to fing great friendships..

Hey, I'm 42 ... & still ' miss ' going out dancing, movies, dining, after work drinks, etc ... since having my 1st bub 2.5yrs ago

SYKE&CAMMI - can you ring your local council to see about what playgroups are in your area ? Or even a BabyGym (sometimes held at local community centres) ?

Or even ask you Maternal Health Nurse, they usually have heaps of info at hand !!

I know your daughter is only little BUT it would be great for you to get out & meet other Mums ... you never know you might find a friend there

I started taking my daughter to a couple of activities when she was very little & she and I have met some really great people
