Thanks so much girls :D Gees you can all talk! I didn't realise there was two pages for me to read :P
Meg, i'm just about always in Perth! Which suburb are you in???
Mo, you did so well for a drug-free birth, I wanted to do it all with just gas, but because I was at risk of having a c-section they gave me an epidural to make sure it worked! Brendan must have wanted to be born vaginally, cos he was born about 15-25 mins after the epi!!
I don't remember much about the pain, the best way i can describe it is like you were getting a tattoo done, it only hurts while the needle is on your skin, it's the same with child birth, it only hurts when you are contracting.... but man i was exhausted afterwards!
I live with my parents who are never home... my mum works 6 days a week, from 6:30am till 4pm and my dad is a truckie he works 6 days a week and sometimes isn't even home at night. The last few weeks I have really felt it... lonely and i'm sop tired, i haven't been able to sleep! I'm going up to XP's house today for Brendan's visit. So I will get some time to myself.... but of course i'll be there watching him as I can't trust them without supervised visits... still at least i'll get some help!
Gotta go, take care girls!

They fixed our Foxtel and our hot water yay! now we can sit in from of the TV after a hot shower LOL.
My god its hot today though! Funny you should ask me if i was inside today Ali, i actually had plans to bus it to Marion and spend my Supre voucher hehe but nah its FAR too hot to go out today.
Our kids are ok on public transport but its so hard when you get one of the older busses where you can't actually wheel the pram on and you have to stand there struggling with it to fold it up one handed and drag it onto the bus with the kid under your other arm. Adelaide public transport really sux....
-
Yeah I would love for some public transport to reach us, even hourly would be better than nothing! and the council bus doesn't even reach us! it sucks! I am thinking about going back to work part time when we have a second car. we shall see.

hey everyone thought i should start chating here as im a so called young mum. And my partner is a so called young dad. We from Ballarat and just starting 2 relise how lonely it is not having friends in the same boat as us, so this site is fantastic, we'd love 2 meet ppl around us.
-
Hi kass!! I am not in Ballarat but sure there will be plenty of people to chat to ;)
-
Hello Kass, Nice meeting you and you'll get lots of support here! Congratulations on a beautiful daughter :D
Take Care
-
Ali, how are you going?? (I think it was you who said you had pnd, please correct me if i'm wrong)
-
The AD's r taking effect but being alone with both girls is still very draining. have a followup with the dr on thursday so will see how we go. it helps so much that DH is still on holidays so when i really need to do something for me i can just do it.
-
hey how is everyone loving parenthood? Id love 2 hear ur stories, ill go through the threads and try and find out as much as i can, just so ur not repeating.
-
Sally, i live in kingsley, which is near joondalup, which areas are you most likely to be in?? I dont mind going South or east :)
-
Ali, Lots of hugs :D you are doing such a great job and thats fantastic that your DH is around to help!
Kass, I LOVE being a mum, this is the job i'm meant to do :D I'm 21 and live just out of Perth. My DS was born at 30wks, due to my waters breaking at 28wks (I've put links to his stories under my ticker), and he is now a healthy 10 month old. He has only just (about a week now) started to crawl and he sat for the first time the other day. His father and I split about 3 months ago, but we are slowly reconciling our differences. We both love each other just not able to live together easily... so i'm technically a single mum. I live with my parents, who both work 6 days a week from early morning to late evening, so therfore i spend most of my days alone. I think thats about it :D
Take Care

Meg, I'm usually in Midland or Cannington, but don't mind going to Morley Galleria. Morley is about an hr 20 min drive or so.
-
Kass: I love being a mum too. I have PND tho and the little things get to me. it is a long story and there are lots of contributors. but for most of it (when i am not on my own) it's great!
-
thanx 4 the update brendans mum. I 2 believe its the reason im on this earth, really hate the way the world is 2day, if u dont want 2 go 2 uni or have a career in ur sites then ur a no hoper. I dont like the way us young mums r looked down apon. Not many ppl look down upon me its just the odd few. Im happy being a mummy at the moment and wouldn't want 2 b anywhere else.
My partner and i r still 2gether but sometimes when we argue i just think, id b fine without him wish he'd go. But then we make up and i couldn't imagine life without him! (Im sure id survive.....hehe)
Ur little man is beautiful on ur ticker photo and i think ur very stronge, he was so tiny.....
-
PND is alot more common then i relised b4 i fell pg, my Auntie had a very bad case of it, her prob was she didn't believe she had it. I think its great that u can talk about it, i hope it makes it easier 4 u.
-
I had PND, but I didn't go onto medication... I was already enough of a pharmacy whilst in hospital before brendan was born. hehe. KEMH, was excellent and the NICU/SCN there had their own social workers, so i had a great support network :D
-
so were ur babies planned or surprises?
-
Brendan was a planned surprise :D LOL. We weren't TTC but just let nature take it's course. We were happy either way. We were going to TTC about 3 months after he was conceived, so we weren't that early :D
-
yeah thats the same as DP and i we weren't TTC but we weren't useing protection so Bella wasn't planned but she wasn't a mistake. Its funny when ppl ask me that same question and i tell them that i think coz of my age they automaticly think "mistake". We were planning on having a bubs in our early 20's anywho.
How did ur partner take 2 parenting?
-

sorry my computer froze up and sent it twice stupid thing!
-
Heya!!
DP and i were trying, but not :) we were going to 100% actively try not too long after we concieved, and i started charting my cycles the cycle we got PG, we also stocked up on a few goodies to help us know when i ovulated etc. DP says he has a feeling we are going to be the ppl that just needa look at eachother and we will fall pregnant, it seems to run in both of our families, so we might just needa be extra extra careful!!
Sally, galleria is where i would have suggested, im not too familiar with carousel and midland.
-
DP & I werent actively trying to conceive, but i wasnt on anything and we werent using protection, so bub wasnt planned but she wasnt a mistake either. DP had been living in QLD from Feb-April on his own and i joined him once i finished my apprenticeship in April so it turns out i had been here 2 weeks when i fell pregnant but didnt find out until i was 6 weeks along. We were going to discuss starting a family once i finished my apprenticeship but nature had its own idea hehe.
-
Welcome Kass!!
Me and DF were TTC nearly a year and after 1 M/C we are fianally here and cant wait.
I have always wanted to have kids in my early 20s, and I must admit I was hoping it would be sooner. Spose good things come to those who wait!:D
-
welcome to the new ones!!
DD was a suprise but only cos we didnt use protection for 2 years and we never fell pregnant then, we always knew it was a possibilty and we were so happy when we found out she was a very welcomed suprise:D again bub2 was a welcomed suprise, but we didnt think it would happen so soon! but we are so happy once our prince is born our family will be complete.
-
thanx all 4 yr answers i love 2 hear others stories so if u have anymore good or bad that u want 2 share or have any question 4 me just let me know.
-
Welcome Kass!
My XP and I were TNTC and with me working 40+ hours a week and always tired, I miscounted my cycle and along came Elouise. I had just started a traineeship and she was due before my graduation. I had planned to have kids before 25 because of family history of ovarian cysts. Mum had benign, her mum had malignant. I get ultrasounds about 1-2 years to keep an eye on mine.
Man you lot gasbag! Last night I was up to date at page nine and now we're on page eleven! In one day! Hmm, dinner's cooking. I'm hungry.
-
hey mummycate ur little sunshine is beautiful and so much hair Annabelle looks bald coz the hair she does have is very blonde, she hasn't got much.....hehe.
Well i guess if it was that easy 2 conceieve she really wanted 2 come in2 the world, how luckey u r that u mis counted ur cycle.
How do u know u have cysts im always worried about things like that.
Also a shout out 2 anyone that can help with this one..........pap smears i have an extream case of not being able 2 get it done any suggestions? Well any doctor put me asleep 4 it, thats how bad i am.
