im here!! lol
Kirra- try not to stress hun i have BH's all day every day and have had for weeks. Mine get a little painful too but im really not fussed about them and neither is my midwife. The birth of ur lil girl is getting very close now, ur body is just preparing for it.
Sally (brendansmum) - im doing ok. Last BP check was 130/80 which is great (not fantastic but is for me) i have another check up tomorrow but things seems to be going well. As i told ya im not too worried... ill deal with anything this pregnancy throws at me. There are so many people out there that have it so much worse than me.. PE isnt the end of the world. Tho i am getting very anxious and excited about meeting my lil girl! oh how i wish time would hurry up! give brendan hugs for me and sending ya some more baby dust darl! :D xoxoxo
hellllllllllo to everyone else... :)
-
Just got back from my scan, dont see the doc til tomorrow but i read the report. They weren't braxton hicks, i have a pollop on my gall bladder and her foot is pushing up into my stomach which is what he believes the pains were.
Bubs is measuring 2611gms, 134bpm. He recons she'll (i had him dbl check she was a girl too) prob be 6 pound-7pound max, but im not holding my breathe on that one, lys was 8pound12.5 so im expecting a big baby and they are known to be wrong. lol.
Feeling much better now that its all clear bubs is ok. Got to see her lil button nose and she had her daddy's lips, hehe. I am so excited i got to see her again, shes so cute and lil and tiny. But im happy to wait atleast another 2 weeks to meet her. Also got to see her practising her breathing. Lys was very cute, she stood there and watched the whole time while holding my hand and being all cute saying that was her lil sister.
Well i've gotta go get DP from work now, later everyone.

Woke up this morning with a coldsore, so man do i feel crap.
Happy birthday for Friday Kass.
It's funny hearing the dif postions and places our kids were conceived. lol. Lys was conceived on the beach (i know, naughty us, but it was late at night and no-one was around) poor Charli just got the good old bed. lol

Morning ladies
Kirra, it's just not your week
Taegan, what a pain! I hope it cleans easily... although probably not :(
Well i was woken at around 5:30a when Brendan fell off our bed, DP forgot to puthis pillows along the edge :( . Brendan wouldn't settle into his own bed so slept with us... Bad bad I know. He's back down for a nap now 7:45am, we've been up since 6.
I'm looking at starting a mothers group in my area, there is nothing in the community for premmie mums, and I dont fit in with the young mums (they are mostly quite immature) and the other mums groups are all older and i dont fit there. At least with a premmie mums groups we all know how each other feels, what we've been through, what we are going through... so it doesn't matter if i'm 22 and the rest are in their 30's or something. I'm hoping it'll work out. I've contacted my loacal paper and also my CHN and OT. They are both going to help me organise it, the OT already has one lady lined up, whose just got home from the hospital after having a 24weeker!! I'm really looking forward to meeting her.
Anyway I'm rambling...
Take Care Girls!
-
OMG Taegan, i hope it comes out, my fingers are crossed for ya and i hope your day gets better.
Sally- YAY to starting mothers group. will be so good to get to know ppl. i found it very nice, i got to 2 Young Mums groups. GL anyways and thanks for the hugs, DP wont come near me. lol
4 loads down and only 2 more loads of bubs stuff to do. I'm getting there..... slowly
Any suggestions on what i shoudl put in my labour/hospital bag
I've got the usual stuff, toiletries, mat pads, breast pads, heat pack, lots of undies, pj's and going home clothes but i keep thinking im forgetting something
-
wat kind of heat pack?
i had a wheat bag and wasnt allowed to use it for my stay or in labour- apparently thy can explode when being heated....
u gunna wear ur pjs the whole day? i suggest like gym pants and tops 2 wear threw the day! have u got a teddy or something 4 charlie? a special outfit?lollies, fruit chips or something 2 munch inbetween the crap hossy food yuk! i took my straightner hehehe and dont forget ur thongs 2 wear in the shower& money 2 put the telly on... um thats all for the momnt but will keep thinkin i should kno my birth was jst months ago
-
Kirra, maybe a mag or good book too, JIC... always good to be a little prepared for things if they dont go to plan.
-
Kirra when i was is hospy at 32 weeks it was a good learning experience coz i realised what i wanted in my bag. Take things like shower gel, nice moisteriser, lip balm and just general stuff for u. U will be so glad u did. Also take some snacks such as chips and lollies.. once bubs out i have heard u can get quite hungry bcoz of the BF demands. Not all hospitals cator (sp) for this. Also pack clothes (if u wish) for Charli that are pink or some other colour. Most hospies supply everything for bub and they are white. so avoid getting ur stuff mixed up in thier ;) Um im taking some coffee from home in a small container.. little luxury for me.
HTH... tho i could go on forever!
-
ps.. oh yes my hair straightner will be going with me but i realised when i was in there the bathroom doesnt have powerpoints in there.. mmmm mayb everyone will just have watch me do my hair on the bed! Our tellies here are free but they dont have pay tv :( and yes i agree THONGS for the shower!! man the hospital showers are good tho.. so much pressure :)
-
Kirra - I didnt use anything in my labour bag coz when
I got to the hossy I had to start pushing straight away. We werent allowed wheat heat bags but the hossy provided gel ones if you wanted them.
In my hossy bag the stuff that I used most - pads, breast pads, toiletries, PJs or trackies, slippers, cordial (I hate water), my phone, notepad & pen & my DS
-
Awesome, thanks for the tips guys, im making sure to write all these things down, my suitcase is gonna be HUGE lol.
I've got a wheat heat pack, i thought they were allowed, my mum has a gel one so i'll take them both just in case.
-
They wouldnt let us have the wheat ones because a few dads had set them on fire in the microwaves:cryinglaugh:
I had 2 bags a smallish one for the delivery suite and a big one for the ward
-
Sal, at the dads...
Kirra, yes take a notepad and pen, keep a diary of how things went for her Birth story!! I so wish i'd kept a diary of how i felt and what happened.
-
back from my appointment.. BP is up again :( had more blood and urine taken. just waiting for the results. Bub is doing just fine in there tho :)
-
Hollye, sorry to hear your BP is back up again  Hope it comes down soon. Do you have protein in your urine?
-
had protein in my urine at 31 weeks but none now.. thank god!
ill be alright.. im a huge believer in things happening for a reason :) i have faith in my lil girl and we will make it through this. I think they will want to induce me early at this stage just to b on the safe side. Im not fussed, as long as she gets here safe and sound.
Havent heard anything about bloodtests which is great.. lets just hope i dont hear anything tomorrow.
all that aside... can u beleive im going to have a bub in 5 weeks!! its completley mind blowing!! i cant wait!
-
Glad the protein has gone, thats a good sign!! I always figure that no news is good news, so if you dont hear anything then they must be good results!!
-
Sally- I had a pethadine shot when i was in labour with alyssa (after 9 hours of a 12 hour labour) but this time i've decided to be strong and tough it out cause i didnt remember much about my labour with lys cause i was so drugged up. lol. So a pen and paper will be handy.
All bubs stuff is officially washed which is a huge relief, no more stressing i wont be ready. I'm off to the shops today to do get the last couple of things and pack the bags tonight which is one less thing to stress about.
My horrible cold sore isnt so bad today, my lip is still a lil swollen but as long as i dont get close to anyone they shouldnt notice. lol
Went to the doc and got my official results from my scan and he said everything is normal, bp is good, bubs is great (everything i knew already cause i read the report. hehe)
Hollye, sorry to hear about your BP going up again, im sure everything will be fine. Exciting isnt it..... only weeks til we meet our lil girls :)
Well im off to hang the washing out and go up the shops, will chat later
-
Girls, so sorry it has been so long it looks like i have missed so much! Havent had the net connected until tonight in our new place. this place is so big compared to our new place and there is a back yard with grass for maddie! yay
Kira- Ages ago yuo asked if i wanted a boy or girl, i realyl dont mind, a boy would be nice for a change and for DP but we have so many girls things. Also billys mum keeps saying that maddie is gonig to be a tom boy coz billy is a country boy and i kinda want a girl so i can have 2 girly girls to prove her wrong, i know thats so mean of me and stupid but she really annoys me sometimes lol.
Also dont forget a camera in your hospital bag.
Brendans Mum- hope Brendan is getting better.
hi to everyone else
I got my implanon taken out yesterday sorry if tmi but i have been bleeding for the last 2 months since i got it put in, and as soon as its out i stop bleeding, how weird! like the minute i got it taken out i stopped bleeding.
well speak tomorrow, take care!
-
Amy- YAY to getting the net connected, i totally get what ya mean, MIL can be such a pain sometimes. lol. My MIL is prob one of the best MIL's around, she totally stays out of everything which is great cause my mum makes up for it by getting involved with everything. lol.
I wanted a boy but im happy with 2 girls, i would much rather a boy and a girl or 2 girls than 2 boys likes my sister. :p
My SIL had the same problem with her implanon and once she had it taken out everything was fine, my sister is also thinking of getting hers taken out but she doesnt want to fall preg again, she gets her period every 3rd week and is very moody, not that i notice that much cause she loves me all the time. lol.
Hope ya have fun unpacking, and i havent forgotten my camera, but i did forget the video camera so i'll have to go put that on charge now.
Hello to everyone else. Hope your all enjoying the wonderful weather (in melb anyway)
-
Goodmorning :)
Kirra, I remember Brendans birth but probably only because it was so traumatic for me. I dont remember much about his first couple of days though, about all I remmber his him coming off the ventilator and onto cpap and me crying alot.... lol. Glad everything is going well with bubs :D
Good idea from Amy too, Camera!!!
Amy, how was your move? Do you like where you are living now? So glad to have you back!
Brendan is still sick, he's getting worse and has a bad cough now. We see the CHN this morning so I'll get her to check his chest for me. I'm worried about a chest infection as thats whats going around and DP's mum had the same thing. I'm feeling better.... I can look after him properly if I feel well, its difficult when i'm sick too!
Brendan had his eye check yesterday at PMH (childrens hospy) and he passed. His retinas are all good (he was at risk of complications because of his prematurety) and no sign of short of long sightedness. We still have to go back every year until he is 4-5yrs, longer if any problems arise. But i'm confident he'll be fine!
Whats everyone up to today?
Take Care
-
Finally finished reading all your posts!
Kirra - sleep mask thingy
- change for telly/vending machine
- Birth announcement cards
- Change of clothes for DP in case he gets wet in the bath or shower (learnt the hard way!)
- milo (i don't drink tea or coffee)
- sposies (if your going to use them)
- mags
- cd/walkman?
Sally - Hope Brendan comes good soon. Good news on his eyes so far though! I know a few people born around the 30 week mark & they all wear glasses, so he's doing well!
Hollye - I had protien in my urine at about 36 weeks with Jaz, but it was gone by the next week. All was good after that. I really hope things come good (or stay good) fpr you for a few more weeks!
Trying to find us a house over near Coffs Harbour. Its so hard!! There are none atm where we really want to be, but we don't really want Jaz changing schools half way through 3rd term. Oh well, we'll see how we go I guess.
-
Kirra - don't forget to get snacks. Almonds and stuff like that. Because I was in hospital for a good week and I was bloody starving. They were giving me the large meals and it just wasn't cutting it.
Hollye - I had PE with my bub and they were thankfully able to manage my BP with medication until I was 38 weeks when they decided to induce. I had been in hospital for a week or so in late May because of my BP as well.. the BP meds were only just keeping everything in a safe range. When I gave birth my blood pressure apparently nearly doubled but thankfully bubba was safe.
It's really good that the signs of protein have gone away!
Hope everyone else is doing well. Josie is sick this week thanks to her little stint at day care. Not much we can do about it really. It's just a cold, so she's getting plenty of rest and she's still feeding without any dramas so I'm not overly concerned. Plus the more she sleeps, the most housework I can get on with!
-
thanks for all the well wishes girls, it really helps.
today i feel great! had a good 6 hours deep sleep and only got up 3 times to pee! me feet arnt as swollen today and i generally feel great. My backs not sore and i dont have a headache! These sorts of days i love being pregnant! Havent heard back about my recent bloodtests so thats great!!! no news is good news!!!!!!! next appointment is on Tuesday but im sure everything will be fine. My BP just likes to keep me on my toes!
mwah!
-
Glad you are having a good day Hollye.
Are any of you guys on facebook? ADD ME
Hope everyone is having a good day!
-
Have added you Sally.
I have been staying at mums the last few days so I have missed heaps on here, sorry no personals!
I started my new medication on Wednesday, so I'm just hoping I start to feel better soon.
Hope everyone is well.
-
Hi everyone!!
Im so happy cz today I officially changed Aiden to clothies full time!! lol. How is everyone?? Im fighting with XP atm cz I want to take DS to see my heavily pregnant best friend that I havent seen in a year cz I moved to Brisbane and he wont let me! All cz he feels uncomfortable with who her partner is (based on race mind you) And he wonders why Im not falling over myself to get back together
-
Hi girls,
how are we all today? DP had no work today so we went to see his aunty and grandma at their farm, maddie rode a horse lol. so funny, she just loves animals, they have three horses, like 15 geese (and goslings came out of their eggs today!) 2 dogs, a cow and chooks and ducks, maddie ran around like crazy trying to catch them and sat against the fence just staring at the geese, i think we need to get her a pet. lol, moving on.
Kirra- i know what you mean, my mum is so annoying, i think half the reason i was so glad to be moving back down south is that i was away from my mum and she couldnt just drop over unannounced and she is such a tight arse so cant call me coz its long distance, yes, i win! lol
Sally- Im loving the new place, our bedroom is a great size with walk-in-robe and ensuite. but other three bedrooms are tiny, and by tiny i mean stupidly rediculously small and they share a really small bathroom that has a spa in it that takes up the whole bathroom lol. and no linen closet! what kind of house doesnt have a linen closet, and no bench space in the kitchen???? but other than that i like it. lol. those things are easily fixed so i love it.
well i think i have just about bored you all to death!
one more thing, i might have some news on wednesday but im going to keep you all in suspense until then.
ok maybe not, im tripping out, i think im pregnant! like 23 weeks pregnant! i dont think i miscarried a few months ago. i can feel kicking in my tummy and when i got measured at hte gym i had put on 5 cms in my tummy in 4 weeks and my boobs are leaking colostrum! but had a blood test done today, i have 2 others since miscarriage all negative so if this one is negative im requesting a scan coz its way to weird, the kicking is every day and its happening right now! you can see it!
ok better go, talk soon.
Amy xxx
-
First of all, hope everyone is having a good weekend.... GO THE HAWKS
Rhyb- Nice to see you in here again, good on ya for changing to clothies...personally i couldnt do it, i hate the washing and poo... ewww. lol
As for your ex, who is he to say who you can visit?? Aiden is going to be supervised by you and like you would let anything happen to him or hurt him, he is your son too. GL to your pregnant friend and if i was her i would prob love a visit from you so your ex with just have to deal with it.
Sally- i added you to facebook :) Great news bouts brendans eye test, hope he gets better soon and im glad your feeling better.
Amy- my mum never calls or comes over (not aloud to smoke in my house so she wont visit  but she complains when she doesn't see me, HELLO she knows where i live, she visits everyone else except me. No worries though, means i dont have to clean to impress. lol. Sucks your house is so small, when i was looking at rentals the bedrooms were tiny and i was always thinking 'there is room for a bed and some drawers but where do her toys go???' mind you alyssa has ALOT of toys. lol. Our linen closet is triangle shaped in a corner...??? who does that???? I swear whoever designed these houses needs there head rearranged.
Fingers are crossed for you that you are pregnant, def request a scan if it comes back neg just to be 100% sure.
Only 5 weeks to go, im so excited.
-
Go the MIGHTY MIGHTY CATS!!!!
-
wow amy.. how odd. ur belly wont be kicking for no reason! mmmmmm i cant wait to hear the results!
-
Amy - How exciting & scary! Your belly can't be jumping around on its own!! There's a girl here who I've been asking about for a few weeks coz I swear she's preggers, but everyone says no, she's just got a pot belly.
Well guess what. On Wednesday night my next door neighbour had to tell someone! The poor girl found out on Tuesday night that she IS pregnant. 30 weeks pregnant!!! How freaky!!
-
Hollye- i was waiting for that. lol
How weird is it that people get neg results when they r pregaz and some dont even realise until they are past half way. My aunty was 7 months preg before she found out. WTF??
What do they think all that movement and kicking is? On the up side they mustn't have very many symptoms which would be good.
I think it would be a pain finding out as late as 32wks, imagine trying to get everything organised... how stressful.
