Yeah, even better is that DH just got his annual performance review... 'Performance is satisfactory when he attends'?!?!?! I am FUMING. What, like he shows up three days a week if he feels like it? Are you kidding me?! The poor sap works 10-hour days five days a week (unless he is literally too ill to get out of bed, most sick days he takes he doesn't even get a doc's cert because he truly cannot get out of bed and go to the doctor to get a certificate) and takes whatever OT he can get!! I've just about had it with this 'new' (not that new, but has only been there a couple of months) manager kicking DH when he's down, but for some reason he loves the brown-nosing, lazy bastard who 'is keen to help others' (yeah, because it means he gets out of whatever menial task he's *meant* to be doing so he can go and suck up to more senior employees and make himself look good)

Had another antenatal check today - stupid midwife has ever-so-kindly adjusted my due date for me, despite the fact that two separate u/s techs have provided the same date AND I know the day I stopped taking the Pill and therefore believe I have a more accurate idea of when I'm due... I mean, it's only been adjusted by three days, but it's only because some idiot must have misheard me say 'May 24' and wrote 'May 21' at some point in my book - every other record states 'May 24', but apparently having it repeated fifteen times isn't good enough for this midwife, it MUST be the 21st because she saw it written ONCE...
Ugh. Effing public system. Sooo glad I'm not having any more kids, I refuse to put myself through this crap ever again!!

I think I've been having Braxton Hicks tonight... ate a big dinner and then was sitting on the verandah with DH having a ciggie and just about fell over lol... he kept making me laugh and that made it worse hehehe
I feel so sick!! Is that normal with BH/labour?? I was induced with DD so I have no idea what first-stage labour, or BH feels like :/

Lol sorry for the rant, chickies... just needed to get that off my chest hahah How's everyone else doing?

Mum2Maddie, its a normal thing to happen. I get it too, its the tightening and stretching of the lower stomach muscles and ligaments. Its the same muscles that can pull out of alignment if you lift something way too heavy, and get a hernia. When you have to sneeze or blow your nose, bend your waist, curling your tummy up. It doesn't hurt that way.

GothMum, that totally sucks! My DF just quit his job because his boss personally doesn't like him, so reduced his hours to less than 8 a week. Which is so unfair! Now we're both looking for work, with a baby on the way. Sigh, oh well, things will come good soon.

Yeah Mum2Maddie, I get the same thing (cramping/that awful pain when sneezing, twisting the wrong way etc)... hopefully it's nothing to worry about

Aww echidna, that sucks... I had the same problem when I was working at Sanity a few years ago, one particular girl there had it in for me and kept telling the area manager (who only came to town maybe once every three months to check on us) things that weren't true (hahaha apparently I was offering to burn CDs and give them to customers who were too cheap to order them in, wtf?! among other things) and she just cut my hours down to zero until one day she called me and said, 'Oh well you haven't worked for so long we're deleting you off the payroll' - ie, 'You're fired' lol... I was spewing over that for soooo long...
Got my fingers crossed for you guys, don't worry something good will come along when you least expect it - darkest before the dawn, etc. It's always happened like that for DH and I Chin up!!

Donna - ABC childcare did that to my bestie. It is actually illegal but she didnt bother fighting because she hated her boss. That's why I flatly refuse to ever use them.

Echidna - Plenty of good job vibes for you

Oh no Echidna, maybe he could look into being one of those labourers for hire or something???? thats how my DP got his full time job, but that was like 5 years ago. GL to u both, its so not something u need to be worrying about right now.

GothMum- Some midwives are just stupid, i never went through midwives, i saw my doc who is also an OB the whole way through, never stepped foot in the hosp after my booking in app until i was in labour Not long to go now, u must be getting so excited?? OMG about ur old job, What a &%^&% some ppl are just rude.

I went up to the family resouce centre yesterday and a lady is coming out next week to help me get charli into a proper routine, i explained to her hows its really hard cause alyssa has kinder and we only have one car etc and she said she'd come to my house and do very in depth personal routine for us and even help me get charli to stay asleep, she says half hour naps arent long enough, getting her down is easy its gettign her to sleep for longer than half hour at a time during the day which is the hard part.

I'm getting my hair done today. YAY. My regrowth is so bad its looks black but as of this arvo it will look awesome again

Ok well i have to go plan our meals for the next 2 weeks. Have a lovely day everone

Yeah it's really hard having one car and working routines around it hey. We did have two cars but DH sold the VP just before Christmas because someone offered him a really good price for it (it was starting to go anyway hahaha, we figured best to offload it and make some cash than get stuck with a car that doesn't go lol), and I've regretted it ever since!! He comes home for lunch but that's usually when DD has just gone down for a nap so more often than not I just tell him to go back to work and I call my mum to take me out later in the afternoon when DD has woken up... but it's a real pain in the neck either having to get up early (he starts work at 7:00 some mornings) to get the car, or having to keep DD awake/put her down early so she's awake at lunchtime :/

DH wants to get a new car soon though, hopefully he means keep the one we've got and get another loan for something else hahah (second-hand, of course, he wants a Patrol and no way are we going to pay for brand-new!), then I can go back to being a lady of leisure lol, go out whenever I bleeding well feel like it

Luckily Charli wakes up at 6.30 every morning anyway and we leave to take DP to work at 7am, the worst thing about it is actually dinner time. He finishes at 5 so we dont get home til almost 5.30 some nights (last 2 he worked over time so didnt finish til 5.30 and we didnt get home til 6pm ) and then by the time i get dinner ready its atleast 6pm and charli has been going to bed at 6.30pm. I'm sure she'll get used to it, its really the stupid kinder hours that are killing me. 8.30-12 two days a week and 1-4 the other day, why cant they making all the freaking same.
Unfortunately we couldnt afford two cars even if we wanted to, that why we got rid of mine last yr. Insurance and maintaining one car costs enough.

    hey girls,
tell me about it, cars are so expensive, my car is paid outright but the fuel is so expensive and billy's car has a loan which is what breaks us every week with repayments. billy is so bad with money and doesnt care what it takes as long as he has a good car, something really loud, something with massive rims and something that looks good. it ****es me off. sorry really angry at him tonight, he is working mothers day so i have ot wake up and get maddison, make my own breaky etc. im feeling so run down, coz of the 1st trimester tiredness and m/s and all i wanted was mothers day and i know he wouldnt have got me anything either. grr im so angry at him.
kirra- didnt realise that charlie wasnt sleeping well during the day, how is she sleeping at night? i have heard that those people are excellent from the family centres. My friend used ngala i dont know if you have them over there but they are very good.
oh and how does your hair look? im getting mine cut tomorrow, first time since new years lol

What a butt head Amy, i would be angry at him to if i was u.
Shes not too bad at sleeping, she has sleeps and goes down ok just doesnt sleep for long enough, half hour is def not long enough. She too grumpy when she wakes up still.

Hair looks good, i need to wash it though and straighten it myself, its the not the same when they blow dry it straight.
Yay for getting ur hair cut, i so need to take alyssa down but i have to find time. lol

    aww shucks,thanks
theyre not even pro ones, my friend does photography at tafe and 'borrowed' the lighting and camera etc and came to my house and did them, im glad i got them done, about 2 days later i woke up with stretch marks all over my lower belly!! just when id been boasting abt getting none

Echidna: i feel your pain about your DPs job, my DP is being screwed around by his boss, being majorly underpaid and overworked, he was going to quit but theres no jobs around for people with no qualifications...and he definately wouldnt do labouring!!
but i said to him, crapp pay is better then no pay!

kaleeya has been fantastic so far, i guess we will find out how good they are when i go into labour! the hospital is gorgeous, nice midwives (except this weirdo male one i had last week freaked me out) and a very natural approach i didnt expect from a public hossy (very pro BF, rooming in, encourage drug free labour etc). but yeah if you go into labour before 35 weeks they send you to KEMH. They are VERY full though, they dont have many beds (i think the whole hossy is 60 beds from memory) and i know they have some 4-bed rooms as well as the single and double rooms, which im dreading getting cause theyve been so busy so its likely, ive heard at KEMH you get single rooms?
