Hi everyone
Firstly I'd like to say a big thanks to everyone on BB for their stories and advice. I've been a long time reader and have found your posts to be very helpful during this journey.
So this will be my very first postand I wanted to give you a bit of background so far.
I went off the pill at the end of Jan 2008 and we tried without assistance for 12 months before deciding to see a FS. We did a few months of clomid (what horrible horrible pills) and unfortunately we had no luck. We then tried 2 IUIs and still nothing. Oh - and I also had a lap, DC done which found that my tubes were perfect but I had a small amount of endo.
After our last IUI in Feb this year we decided it was time to consider IVF and we had our egg pickup in early April. I was totally shocked when the nurse said I had 26 follicles (I was having FSH injections of 150) and the scientist told us that hubby had super sperm (110 million/ml and 90% mobility). We ended up with 22 eggs that fertilised and we did a transfer of a 6 day blasto that was already hatching on 19 April.
So i'm current in my ttw and unfortunately started spotting (brown stuff) on Saturday 24 April which lasted a few days and then turned into a very light period (red) on Wed 28 April - that lasted two days. I've got no spotting or light period now and have no idea what to think.
I'd pretty much written off any chance of actually being preggers but after reading other people's post, I'm now really confused. I'm off to get bloods done tomorrow to make sure.
FS said that we are both fine from all the tests we've had done and I think that is the most frustrating thing.
In terms of luteal support during the ttw, I've been using pessaries 2 times a day and have been taking cardaprin. Is that similar others?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
J

Hi Justine
I'm not sure if this is helpful or not but I had a very light period that lasted for about 1 week with my DD2. I didn't think I was pg and was almost about to start my next round of injections but I thought something wasn't quite right as normally when I'm on FSH I have a really heavy period (because its helps to give a nice thick lining). I didn't have any bright red blood or heavy cramping though and my FS thought it might have been due to low progesterone or an implantation bleed.
It's hard when you are waiting to find out what's happening but wishing you all the best when you find out your results.
