I didn't tell anyone we were doing IVF at the start....as time went on with us I did gradually tell a few people but never really told them anything specific about what was happening when cause I found that too hard to talk about and then too much pressure to talk when things wern't working out so well.... I used forums and blogs if I wanted to talk cause sometimes its easier to talk to others who are going through the same thing cause the really get it....after a while you will work out who you want to know or not....
