Oh I remember thinking how much 20 cents would buy!

I remember the man who used to come and empty the toilet!!! (thankyou to you whoever you were - what a challenging job that would have been... )

I remember our milk used to arrive in a tin bucket with a tin lid. We would put out our buckets and he/she would fill them... The cream on top was scooped off to make creamed rice.. Oh Lordy that was special...

I remember the wringer washing machine that My Grandma used to use & her excitement when she got one that did the whole lot for her. (bless her cotton tails... )

I remember fire cracker night!!! Oh wow that was almost as good as Christmas!!!

By the replies this is where we should be Thanks Nelle!

Oh Molly dying on ACP was sooo sad

Ok, so who remembers what was the first movie they watched on their VCR's?
Mine was the Sound of Music

Guyforks night! Loved it, used to put in our order at the local Newsagency and was so excited to pick them up. Had a bonfire and most of the town come down to our place for it too!

I like the Nolan Sisters, and how about Sheena Easton when she did that racey song My baby takes the morning train!

Oh the excitement when we owned our own VCR instead of hiring one for the night from the video shop! The first video we watched on it would either have been a Bud Hall and Terrence Spencer, National Lampoons (or anything with Chevy Chase in it for that matter), Animal House or Police Academy movie. They were the ones Dad always seemed to pick LOL

First video - wow, could have been Porky's II or something similar. I remember the local video store guy calling up my mum to see if we were allowed to borrow it.
