Welcome hollymaedream. Yes we get some looks...some people ask if I've had 2 families (with different partners) because of age differences....many people ask if I'm going to have another one! I don't look pg, they are just curious.
Also, people say constantly that I must be busy. LOL, what do they think? Anyway, I've always been busy!
I hope everyone is having a great week.

Hi Castle, well at least you don't look pg!! Apparantly I do! I went to the school to help out today and had a year 5 girl ask me if i was pg again i said no sweety, and she said oh well you look like you are
I know she didnt mean anything by it, but how frustrating just when i start to feel like i am getting somewhere now that i feel i can exercise and i hear that!!!!! Oh well thems the breaks i guess, i will just have to work harder now
We get asked where our eldest daughter gets her black hair quite a bit , we say from her father (our eldest 3 are from my first marriage) and they look at DH and say oh ok . We never bother to say anymore as we see ourseles as one family! But its funny watching their faces just the same.

Christmas - arrrgh! We tend to spend more money on the kids for their birthdays and have a pretty low key Christmas. I just don't go for all the hype and expectations at Christmas. We usually have a family day early or later depending on when the relis can visit and that takes out the whole stress!! My kids are cool with that! I hate shopping December. This will be my first Christmas in Aussie though but I am sure its not too different fron NZ....BBqs, beach, etc...

Welcome Lea. I want some ideas girls. I am planning to through a girlie birthday party for my to be 5 and 6 year old girls. I am not really a girlie girl myself, with 4 boys I have got good at doing boys parties but I must admit have been a little scared of doing a girlie thing! Help me pleeease! My girls like pink and purple but not fairy stuff. My oldest is a really arty girl and the youngest is a dolly girl. I will eagerly wait for replys.

    Thanks for all the welcomes
My mood is because we only decided last week to get married in Feb and start TTC, so i love him to death atm lol
Sorry halltribe, haven't got alot of advice for you about girlie parties. I always went for the traditional party of balloons, streamers and all the old fashioned party food i had as a kid. My daughter chose the music she wanted and they danced around to that for a while, then run amuck outside from all the sugary food lol Very basic i know, but they always seem to enjoy it.

Halltribe last year my dd was turning 8 and she is a real little girly girl. We had a princess party. We had a group of her friends come and sleep over, they chose outfits from our dressups and we did princess lessons...things like learning to curtsy, sit 'nicely' eat politely..really silly stuff that i made up...walk with books on their heads that sort of thing. I made these gorgeous invites..with hear ye hear ye....King Darren and Queen Jo request the pleasure of Princess........... to attend the ball of Princess Olivia...etc etc. We decorated the house with purple and pink streamers flowing neatly as in for a ball, then they got their hair done and had a ball with dancing! The girls really took to it..and eagerly particpated in everything and went right into role. I love doing parties!!! Have fun!!

    Jo
