I iron only my "good" things...& sometimes dh's shirts if I'm on a roll. Otherwise, he does his own while watching footy
I have a 9kg natural gas dryer which is fan-tastic & helps eliminate ironing (we also have limited clothesline space, but I still wouldn't iron very much). I even do the boys' school blazers in the dryer...another mum with the same dryer told me to wash & dry them & skip the dry cleaning.
The birthday thing is funny. When DS no 3 was due in November, the older 2 were keen for him to be born on their best friends' b-days (also November). My MIL was hoping for the date of a distant ancient relative. I was appalled & wanted him to have his OWN day! He was born on Remembrance Day, which is very nice. LOL, I was hoping for 11 am...you'd think a 4th labour would be easy & quick...instead it was 9 pm!
